Book L, No. 3962, pgs. 146, 147 M. 4/806.  On October 16, 1846, appeared Agapie HOTARD, who declared he received the sum of $1100.00, for a sale of certain land, situated a little below Canal Bellenger, containing 3 arpents front (more or less), on each side of Bayou Terrebonne, with depth as bears the survey, by act before Judge Leufroy BARRAS, dated May 8, 1841, and registered Book I, No. 2877, and asks that the said mortgage, be definitely canceled and removed.  Witnessed by Alexandre LIRETTE and Richard H. GRINAGE.  Signed by Agapi HOTARD and Voltaire THIBODAUX, recorder and Notary Public.
Book L, No. 3963, pgs. 147, 149 No. 10/20080.  On October 17, 1846, appeared Mathurin DAIGLE, who declared that for and in consideration of the sum of $150.00, well and duly paid in cash, he sold, ceded, transferred and delivered to Cyrus HEBERT, of Lafourche Interior Parish, a certain piece of land, situated on right bank of Bayou Chikahoula, containing one-half arpent front, on said bayou, with such depth. as bears the survey, bounded above by land of the purchaser and below by land of the vendor, being a portion of the upper half of Section No. 21, Township No. 16, Range 16 East, being the same land vendor bought from Joseph MALBROUX, by act passed before Henry C. THIBODAUX, then Judge, of this Parish, on March 4, 1845.  Now appeared Mrs. Elize LIRETTE, wife of Mathurin DAIGLE, who declared to be entirely satisfied with the sale, and approves of it in its entirety, and renounces any rights or claims, she has or may have on the land.  Witnessed by Theodule MALBROUGH, Lezin DAIGLE.  Signed by Mathurin DAIGLE, Cyrus HEBERT (mark), Elize LIRETTE (mark) and Voltaire THIBODAUX, recorder.
Book L, No. 3964, pgs. 149 – 151 No. 10/2007.  On October 17, 1846, appeared Joseph MALBROUX, who declared he sold, ceded, transferred and delivered to Cyrus HEBERT, a certain piece of land, situated on right bank of Bayou Chikahoula (Chacahoula), containing one-half arpent front, bounded above by land of present vendor, and below by land of Mathurin DAIGLE, being a portion of the upper half of Section No. 21, Township No. 16 Range No. 16 East, being same land vendor bought from U. S. Government, in consideration of the sum of $150.00, payable March 1847, with interest of 8 percent.  Witnessed by Mathurin DAIGLE and Lezin DAIGLE.  Signed by Joseph MALBROUX (mark), Cyrus HEBERT (mark) and Voltaire THIBODAUX, recorder.
Book L, No. 3966, pgs 153, 154 No. 10/2010.  On October 20, 1846, appeared Oliver Narcisse DUBOIS, who declared he sold, ceded, abandoned, transferred and delivered to Dominique Honore DUBOIS, a certain land, situated on left bank of Bayou Black, containing one and one-half arpents front, more or less, and depth which bears the survey, being portion of Section No. 14, Township No. 17, Range 16 east, bounded above by land of Jean Baptiste HEBERT, and below by land of Evariste BABIN, sold inconsideration of the sum of $650.00, with $400.00 paid in cash and $250.00, payable March 1847, with eight percent interest.  Witnessed by M. Surville TRAHAN and Joseph AYCOCK.  Signed by Oliver Narcisse DUBOINS (mark), Dominique Honore BRAUX (mark) and Voltaire THIBODAUX, recorder and Notary Public.
Book L, No. 3967, pgs. 154 – 156 No. M. 4/808.  On October 20, 1846, appeared Rosalie THIBODAUX, wife of Oliver DUBOIS, who declared she is satisfied with the above sale, and approving it, in its entirety, renouncing all rights, whether dotal or paraphernal, which she has or may have, on the land sold.  Witnessed by Joseph AYCOCK and M. Book L, No. 3968, pgs. 156, 157 No. M. 3/809.  On October 20, 1846, Oliver DUBOIS declared that in consideration of special mortgage, transferred to him, in favor of his minor children, by Jean Baptiste HEBERT, which he had against Firmin BLANCHARD, in the sum of $211,23m with interest beginning July 6, 1844, by reference to act on July 6, 1844, Book J. No. 3404, in order to annul the tacit mortgage, which exists on land, belonging to the appearer, and sold by him to Dominique Honore BREAUX, and gives final acquittance on land, sold by him to Mr. HEBERT, by act before Honorable Henry C. THIBODAUX, then Judge of this parish, on February 3, 1846, and registered in Book C., No. 871.  Witnessed by Joseph AYCOCK and Joseph GUIDRY Jr.  Signed by Oliver Narcisse DUBOIS (mark) and Voltaire THIBODAUX, recorder.
Book L, No. 3970, pgs. 161, 162 No. 10/2009.  On October 24, 1846, appeared Hyppolite PORCHE, of Assumption Parish, who declared that for and in consideration of the sum of $700.00, he sells, Cedes, transfers and delivers to Evariste PORCHE, the following slaves to-wit: Octavie, about five years of age, Octave, about four years of age, Maxmilien, about two years of age and Francois, about one year of age.  Act passed at residence of Evariste PORCHE and witnessed by Jean Baptiste BOUDREAUX and F. Severin LAPERUSE.  Signed by Hippolyte PORCHE, Evariste PORCHE and Voltaire THIBODAUX, recorder and Notary Public.
Book L, No. 3972, pgs 163 – 166 (original missing)  On October 24, 1846, upon the petition of Alexis BLANCHARD on October 21, 1846, requesting a true and faithful inventory and appraisal, of all the properties left by Mrs. Marguerite TRAHAN, widow Belloni BLANCHARD, which existed in the community.  Voltaire THIBODAUX, assisted by Joseph AYCOCK and William S. CAMPBELL, went to the left bank of Bayou Black, about six miles below Houma, where appeared Alexis BLANCHARD, Hyppolyte BLANCHARD, Charles BLANCHARD, Firmin BLANCHARD, Sylvester BLANCHARD, Belloni BLANCHARD, Jean Baptiste BLANCHARD, all heirs, of full age of maturity, of the deceased Mrs. Marguerite TRAHAN, with appraisers Augustin TRAHAN and Romain LEBOEUF, inventoried properties at a total of $1123.00.  Signed by Alexis BLANCHARD (mark), Hyppolyte BLANCHARD (mark), Charles BLANCHARD (mark), Firmin BLANCHARD (mark), Sylvere BLANCHARD (mark), Belloni BLANCHARD (mark), Jean Baptiste BLANCHARD (mark), August N. Book L, No. 3974, pgs. 168, 169 (original missing).  On October 29, 1846, appeared Louis TOUPS, who declared he received from Hyppolite CHAUVIN, the sum of $150.00, the price of a certain land on Bayou Little Caillou, containing one arpent front, with a depth of 124 chains, being upper part of Section No. 15, Township 17, Range 18 East, bounded above by Section No. 16 and below the remainder of Section N. 15, land sold by himself on December 9, 1839, by act passed before Judge Leufroy BARRAS, and registered Book H, No. 2588, therefore inconsideration, whereof, he cancels the mortgage, that existed.  Witnessed by Joseph AYCOCK and Emile FANGUY.  Signed by Louis TOUPS and Voltaire THIBODAUX, recorder and Notary Public.
Book L, No. 3975, pgs. 169, 170.  On October 29, 1856, appeared Louis TOUPS, who declared the received from Adolphe CHAUVIN, the sum of $100.00, for balance of the price, for a certain piece of land, situated on right bank of Bayou Little Caillou, having one arpent front, more or less, bounded above by land of Hyppolite CHAUVIN Jr., and below by that land Charles FANGUY sold on May 19, 1845, by act No. 805 in Mortgage Book C, inconsideration, the mortgage is cancelled and annulled.  Witnessed by Joseph AYCOCK and Emile FANGUY.  Signed by Louis TOUPS and Voltaire THIBODAUX, recorder and Notary Public.
Book L, No. 3977, pgs. 181, 182.  On October 30, 1846, appeared Jean Jacques LEBOEUF, who declared that inconsideration of the sum of $1000.00, he sold, ceded, abandoned, transferred and delivered to Joseph Benjamin LEBLANC, a certain piece of land, situated on right bank of Bayou Terrebonne, about two and one-half miles above the city of Houma, containing five arpents front, with depth of survey, bounded above by land of Noah HAMPTON and below by land of Mrs. Saturin LEVERON, land vendor acquired on February 5, 1844, at auction sale of the properties of his deceased wife, Mrs. Marie Jeanne LIRETTE, with $500.00 paid in cash and remainder paid over time, vendor reserves mortgage to secure payment..  Witnessed by Joseph GUIDRY jr. and Jean BESSE.  Signed by Jean Jacques LEBEOUF (mark), Joseph Benjamin LEBLANC (mark) and Voltaire THIBODAUX, recorder and Notary Public.
Book L, No. 3979, pgs. 185, 186 No. M. 4/809.  On October 28, 1846, appeared Mrs. Oralie CARLEIN, wife of Louis TOUPS, who renounces all her rights on land sold to Adolph CHAUVIN.  Witnessed by Emile FANGUY and Paulin JESSANDIER.  Signed by Oralie CARLEIN (mark), Louis TOUPS and Voltaire THIBODAUX, recorder and Notary Public.
Book L, No. 3982, pgs. 191, 192 No. 10/2014.  On November 3, 1846, appeared Nicolas MALBROUX, and Joseph MALBROUX, who declared to exchange certain pieces of land, to wit; a certain piece of land on the right bank of Bayou Chacahoula, containing two arpents front, more or less, part of Section No. 21, Township No. 16, Range No. 16 East, bounded above by land of Cyrus HEBERT, and below by land of Drauzin BERGERON, in exchange Nicolas ceded abandoned and delivered a certain piece of land, on right bank of Bayou Black, being upper half of Section No. 21, Township No. 17, Range No. 16 East, bounded above by land of Lewis CASON, and below by land of Flores tin MOUTARDIER, with depth of survey.  Witnessed by Joseph AYCOCK and Alexander LIRETTE.  Signed by Joseph MALVROUX (mark), Nicolas MALBROUX (mark) and Voltaire THIBODAUX, recorder and Notary Public.
Book L, No. 3984, pgs. 194 – 196 No. 10/2012.  On November 9, 1846, appeared Eugene ENGERRAN, who declared he sold, ceded, transferred and delivered to Emile FANGUY, a certain piece of land, situated on Bayou Little Caillou, about seven miles from village of Houma, with the façade of one arpent, more or less, and forty arpents in depth, being portion of Section No. 65, Township No. 18, Range No. 18 East, land originally confirmed in the name of Charles FANGUY, bounded above by land of Hyppolite CHAUVIN, and below land of Vincent FANGUY, for $550.00.  Land belongs to said vendor, by virtue of the acquisition he made of it from Louis TOUPS, by act under private signature, and registered in the clerk’s office, by Henry C. THIBODAUX, then Judge.  This act passed in the residence of Mr. Eugene ENGERRAN and witnessed by George W. Book L, No. 3985, pgs. 196, 197.  On November 4, 1846, appeared Heloise FALGOUT, widow of Edmond FANGUY, who declared she sold, ceded, transferred and delivered to Emile FANGUY, a certain Negress, named Suzette, about twelve years of age, for and in consideration of the sum of $200.00.  Act passed at house of Heloise FALGOUT, widow Edmond FANGUY.  Witnessed by :Paulin TESSANDIER and George Washington WATKINS.  Signed by Emile FANGUY, Heloise FALGOUT, Adolph VERRET, Notary Public and Voltaire THIBODAUX, recorder.
Book L, No. 3986, pgs. 197 – 199 No. 10/2003.  On November 5, 1846, appeared Francisque DOMINGUE, who declared he sold, ceded, transferred and delivered to Eugene ENGERRAN, a certain piece of land, situated on Bayou Little Caillou, about eleven miles from village of Houma, having a Façade of two arpents, more or less, on right side, with forty arpents in depth, bounded above by land Antoine DOMINGUE, and below by land of Manuel DOMINGUE, land vendor acquired from U. S. Government.  Sale was made in consideration of the sum of $450.00, payable over time.  Witnessed by Joachim GUENO and Louis CHAUVIN.  Signed by Eugene ENGERRAN, Francisque DOMINGUE (mark), Adolph VERRET, Notary Public and Voltaire THIBODAUX, recorder.
Book L, No. 3990, pgs. 206, 207 No. 112A/11035.  On November 9, 1846, appeared Julien HUNOT, who presented a receipt from Charles DUPRE, acknowledging the sum was paid in full, for land sold to him and PICOUT, by me on August 20, 1841, being one-half of section No. 21, Township No. 18, Range No. 19 East, the recorder of the Parish of Terrebonne, is by these presents, authorized to remove the mortgage, which exists in my favor.  Witnessed by William WATKINS and Joseph AYCOCK.  Signed by Julien HUNOT and Voltaire THIBODAUX, recorder and Notary Public.
Book L, No. 3991, pgs. 207 – 209 No. 112A/11036.  On November 13, 1846, appeared Antoine A. LAFOREST who declared that in consideration of the sum of $475.00, he sold, ceded, transferred and delivered to Napoleon LEFORT and Maximilion LEFORT, of Jefferson Parish, two pieces of land on Bayou Little Caillou, being one-quarter section, described Sections No. 73 and No. 74, Township No. 20, Range No. 18 East, land 10 arpents front, with 40 arpents in depth, about 166 acres, each,.  Then appeared Mrs. Louise CAZEAU, wife of Antoine A. LAFOREST, who declared, it was her intention to renounce all rights she has, or may have, on the pieces of land.  Witnessed by Louis BUSH and Eugene W. BLAKE.  Signed by Antoine A. Book L, No. 3992, pgs 209, 210 No. 10/2015.  On November 11, 1846, appeared Louis VERRET, who declared he had sold, ceded, transferred and delivered to Napoleon LEFORT and Maximilion LEFORT, a piece of land on Bayou Little Caillou, described as Section No. 71, Township No. 20, Range No. 18 East, five arpents front, more or less, with forty arpents in depth, for $400.00, land was acquired by vendor from Houma succession.  Witnessed by Elie PANVEL and Reuben TABOR, signed by Louis VERRET, Napoleon LEFORT, Maximilion LEFORT, G. A. KNOBLOCK, N. P. and Voltaire THIBODAUX, recorder.
Book L, No. 3995, pgs. 215, 216 No. 10/2016.  On November 25, 1846, appeared Mrs. Marie Josephine BEDFORD, wife of Michel Surville TRAHAN, who declared for $150.00 paid in cash, she sold, ceded, transferred and delivered, and gives acquitance to Philippe Henry DARCE, a certain lot of land, situated about one mile below Bayou Cane, on the right bank of Bayou Terrebonne, containing 92 feet square, bound below by land of widow Saturin LEVRON and Above and rear, by land of Jean Jacques LEBOEUF, being same piece acquired from Mr. C. B. DEOUX, by act dated May 3, 1844, Book J., No. 3366.  Witnessed by William S. CAMPBELL and Joseph AYCOCK.  Signed by Marie Josephine TRAHAN, Michel Surville TRAHAN, Philippe H. DARCE and Voltaire THIBODAUX, recorder.
Book L, No. 4010, pgs. 235, 236.  On December 1, 1846, appeared Charles FANGUY, who presented and exhibited a certain note, subscribed by himself, dated April 1, 1843, for the sum of $111.00, payable to Pierre LASEIGNE, Charles FANGUY declared the note was duly and fully satisfied, and asked that mortgage on land on right bank of Bayou Little Caillou, Section No. 55, Township No. 18, Range 18 East, bounded above by land of Louis TOUPS and below by land of Eugene ENGERRAN, be annulled.  Witnessed by Michael Surville TRAHAN and Joseph AYCOCK.  Signed by Charles FANGUY and Voltaire THIBODAUX, N. P. and recorder.
Book L, No. 4011, pgs. 236, 237.  On December 1, 1846, appeared Charles FANGUY, who presented and Exhibited a certain note, subscribed by himself, dated May 1, 1843, for the sum of $123.37, and declared the note was duly and fully satisfied and asked that the mortgage on a piece of land, situated about seven miles from the Court House, on right bank of Bayou Little Caillou, measuring one arpent front and forty arpents in depth, bounded above by land of Louis TOUPS and below by land Eugene ENGERRAN, be annulled.  Witnessed by Michel S. TRAHAN and Joseph AYCOCK.  Signed by Charles FANGUY and Voltaire THIBODAUX, N. P and recorder.
Book L, No. 4017, pgs 243 – 245 No. 11/2022.  On December 18, 1846, appeared Mrs. Marie Joseph MALBROUX, widow Nicolas LIRETTE, who declared she sold, ceded, transferred and delivered to Mathurin DAIGLE, a certain land situated on right bank of Bayou Terrebonne, about two miles from City of Thibodaux, containing three and one-half arpent front, more or less, with depth of twenty arpents, bounded above by land belonging to the succession of late Jean ROBICHAUX, and below by land of the purchaser, for $2, 800.00, payable over time, with 8 percent interest, act made at residence of Alexander LIRETTE, esquire.  Witnessed by Charles Lemichel DUROY and Alexander LIRETTE.  Signed by Marie Joseph MALBROUX, widow Nicolas LIRETTE (mark and Voltaire THIBODAUX, N. Book L, No. 4020, pgs. 253, 254 No. 11/2027.  On December 16, 1846, appeared Sylvere BAUDOIN, who declared that for $800.00 cash, he sold, ceded, transferred and delivered to Joseph Etienne MALBROUX, a certain Negro named Charles, about 45 years of age, slave for life.  Witnessed by Joseph AYCOCK and Marcel DASPIT.  Signed by Sylvere BAUDOIN, Joseph Etienne MALBROUX and Voltaire THIBODAUX, Notary Public and recorder.
Book L, No. 4021, pgs. 254 – 256 No. 10/2006.  On December 16, 1846, appeared Joseph Etienne MALBROUGH, who declared that for $800.00 cash, he sold to Mrs. Estelle BOURGEOIS, wife of Sylvere BAUDOIN, a certain piece of land, situated about seven miles below Houma, containing one arpent front, on right bank of Bayou Little Caillou and one and one-half arpents front on the left bank, with depth of the survey.  On the right bank land bounded above by land of the vendor and below by land of Jean Baptiste DUPLANTI Jr., and on the left bank, bounded above by land of the vendor, and below, by land of Auguste USE.  Vendor acquired land on right bank from U. S. Book L, No. 4040, pgs. 272, 273 No. 11/2029.  On December 23, 1846, appeared Mathurin DAIGLE, who declared that for $600.00, payable over time, with 8 % interest, he sold to Jean Baptiste NAVARRE, a certain piece of land, situated on the right bank of Bayou Chikahoula, about 10-miles from City of Houma, containing two arpents front, by depth of survey, being part of Section No. 21, Township No. 16, Range No. 16 East, bounded above by land of Cyrus HEBERT, and below by land of Jean Charles NAVARRE.  Witnessed by Henry Claiborne THIBODAUX and Armogene F. Book l, No. 4041, pgs. 274, 275 No. 11/2028.  On December 23, 1846, appeared Manuel LENAIN, who declared he sold, ceded, transferred and delivered to Guillaume LEBLANC, a certain piece of land on right bank of Bayou Chikahoula, (Chacahoula) being designated as Section No. 34, Township No. 16, Range No. 16 East, bounded above by land of Napoleon LEBLANC and below by land of Julien LENAIN, for $800.00, payable over time, with 8 % interest.  Witnessed by Armogene F. AYCOCK and Henry C. THIBODAUX.  Signed by Manuel LENAIN (mark), Guillaume LEBLANC (mark) and Voltaire THIBODAUX, N. P. and recorder.
Book L, No. 4043 pgs. 277, 278 (missing).  In City of New Orleans on December 12, 1846, before Charles BOUDOUSQUIRE, Notary Public, appeared Jean Baptiste PINEL, who was appointed by Mrs. Maturin BOURG, his general and special attorney, giving him power to authorize Mrs. Josephine DUBOIS, his wife, to sell to Come Blaze DEOUX, land containing tow and one-half arpents front, by ordinary depth, situated on Bayou Black, which Mrs. PINEL possesses, as heir of Paul DUBOIS, her brother, deceased, only legal owner of said land.  Witnessed by Oscar SARPY and Adolph BOUDOUSQUIRE.  Signed by Jean Baptiste PINEL (mark) and Charles BOUDOUSQUIRE, Notary Public and Voltaire THIBODAUX, recorder.
Book L, No. 4045 pgs. 288, 289.  On December 14, 1856, Jean Charles NAQUIN and Francisque RODRIGUES agreed that NAQUIN will sell to RODRIGUES a piece of land of one-fourth arpent, bordering on the North by Casimir TREMOLST and South by land of Francisque RODRIGUES, for $30.00 cash.  Francisque RODRIGUES then transfers the above land to Casimir TREMOLULET for $50.00, in value received.  Signed by Jean Charles NAQUIN, Casimir TREMOLET, Auguste MOLEY, Francisque RODRIGUES, Felix HARDY, Jean Baptiste DUPRE and Voltaire THIBODAUX, recorder.  Recorded on January 7, 1847.
Book L, No. 4047, pgs. 284 – 286.  On January 7, 1947, appeared Flores tin MOUTARDIER and Auguste MOLEY, who made an exchange, namely Flores tin MOUTARDIER cedes to Auguste MOLEY, a piece of land on right bank of Bayou Black, about 12 miles below Houma, being designated Section No. 34, Township No. 17, Range No. 16 East, containing 245 acres, bounded above and below by lands of Tobias GIBSON, from whom land was acquired, and in counter exchange, Auguste MOLEY, cedes a certain piece of land, situated on both banks of Bayou Terrebonne, about 17 miles below Houma, containing two arpents front, with depth of survey, bounded above by land of Mrs. Jean Pierre DUGAS and below by land of Casimir TREMOLET, land he acquired from Joseph Basile DUPRE.  Witnessed by Joseph AYCOCK and Adolph VERRET.  Signed by Florentin MOUTARDIER, Auguste MOLEY and Voltaire THIBODAUX, recorder.
Book L, No. 4050 pgs 289 – 291 No. 11/2034.  On January 9, 1847, appeared Auguste BABIN, who declared designated lot # 2, Section No. 75, Township No. 16, Range No. 17 East, containing 112 acres, bought by him, was really bought by Olezime BABIN, Lomore BABIN, Maxiliere HEBERT, Joseph BRAUX and Augustin BABIN, each one his own share to wit: a certain part of Section No. 75, containing 4 arpents, by depth of survey, in rear of land of said Olezime BABIN, 3 arpents front in rear of Lomere BABIN, 2 arpents front in rear Maxiliere HEBERT, two arpents front in rear of Joseph BRAUX and three arpents in rear of Aubin BABIN and five arpents front, in rear of Augustin BABIN.  Signed by the above and Voltaire THIBODAUX, recorder.
Book L, No. 4052 pgs. 293 – 295 No. 10/1912.  On December 23, 1846, appeared Pierre Marcelin BONVILLAIN, who declared that inconsideration of the sum of $3000.00, he sold, ceded, transferred and delivered to Leufroy BONVILLAIN, of St. Mary Parish, a certain piece of land, on Bayou Black, containing seven arpents front on right side, with depth of survey, about forty arpents, part of Section No. 25 and No. 26, Township No. 17, Range 16 East, about 333 acres, bounded above by land of Mrs. Widow Julie Sidlignie BERGERON, and below by land of the vendor, land vendor acquired from U. S. Government.  Now appeared Mrs. Emelda THIBODAUX, wife of Pierre M. BONVILLAIN, who declared she approved the sale, and renounces in its entirety all rights she has or may have concerning the land.  Act passed at the residence of Pierre M. Book L, No. 4058 pgs. 303 –305.  On December 3, 1846, appeared Basile RICHARD and Joseph RICHARD, of Assumption Parish, who declared that by these presents, they sell, cede, transfer and deliver, to Pierre Florentin MICHEL, a certain piece of land, containing 153 acres, described as Section No. 83, Township No. 17, Range No. 17 East, for $50.00, paid in cash.  Signed by Basile RICHARD (mark), Joseph RICHARD (mark), Pierre F. MICHEL and Valsin DUVAL.  On December 5, 1846, before Felix GUILLOT, Notary Public, Pierre MICHEL declared that he was present when marks of Basile RICHARD, as well as that of Joseph RICHARD, were made.  Signed by Pierre MICHEL and Felix GILLET, N. Book L, No. 4060, pgs. 305, 306.  On January 27, 1846, before Joachim REVILLON, N. P., in parish of Lafayette, was present Marcellin DUBOIS, who declared to have sold, ceded, transferred and delivered to Gedeon LANDRY, all rights he may have in succession of late Paul DUBOIS, his brother, deceased in New Orleans, LA about six years ago, for $40.00 paid in cash.  Act was passed at Vermillonville January 27, 1846.  Witnessed by Francois DUFOUR and David Pierre A. Book L, No. 4061 pgs. 306 – 308.  On February 9, 1847 Narcisse THIBODAUX, of Assumption Parish, declared he sold, ceded, transferred and delivered to Come Blaise DEOUX, all his titles and rights, he has or may have in the succession of Paul DUBOIS, deceased.  Vendor acquired rights from Zenon DUBOIS, brother of the deceased, sold for $200.00, cash in hand.  Witnessed by Alexandre LIRETTE and William S. Book L, No. 4062, pgs. 308, 309 (Original missing).  On February 1, 1847, appeared Louise Emee DUBOIS, wife of Etienne HEBERT, who declared she sold, ceded, transferred and delivered to Come Blaise DEOUX, all rights and titles she has or may have in the succession of Paul DUBOIS, deceased in New Orleans, LA, which her father, Louis DUBOIS, brother of the said Paul, his heir, may have in a piece of land two and one-half arpent front, by ordinary depth on Bayou Black, in consideration of the sum of $12.00, paid in cash.  Witnessed by Joseph HAYO and Simeon CLEMENT.  Signed by Louise Emee DUBOIS (mark), Etienne HEBERT (mark), Come Blaise DEOUX and Voltaire THIBODAUX, Notary Public and recorder.
Book L, No. 4063, pgs. 309 – 311.  On February 9, 1847, on commission of 5th Judicial District Court, authorization to take a true and faithful inventory of all the properties of Paul DUBOIS, deceased, acting on a petition of Simeon CLEMENT, accompanied by Surville M. TRAHAN and Joseph AYCOCK, I found 1st Laurent BOUDREAUX, dative tutor of minors Louis Oliver and Zephyrin DUBOIS, issue of Louis DUBOIS and Anastasie THIBODAUX, 2nd Oliver Narcisse DUBOIS, acting in his own name, and in name of Orelia DUBOIS, wife of Rosemond BROUSSARD.  3rd Come Blaise DEOUX, representing Joseph Antoine DUBOIS, Josephine DUBOIS, Zenon DUBOIS, Marcellin DUBOIS and Louise Emee DUBOIS, wife of Etienne HEBERT, whose titles and claims, in the succession of Paul DUBOIS, he has bought.  The property to be appraised, was designated by Firmin BLANCHARD, to be appraised by Simeon CLEMENT and Joseph FORET, inventoried land on Bayou Black bounded above by land of Hyacinthe AUCOIN, and below by land of Tiburse BARRAS, being a portion of Section No. 52, Township No. 17, Range 16 East, at a value of $500.00, this being only property in Terrebonne Parish, inventory was closed at a value of $500.00.  Signed by Joseph AYCOCK, Oliver Narcisse DUBOIS (mark), Come Blaise DEOUX, Joseph FOREST (mark), Simeon CLEMENT and Voltaire THIBODAUX, recorder.
Book L, No. 4069, pg. 320 No. 11/2049.  On February 12, 1847, appeared Joseph Bernard DARCE, on the one part, and Jean Baptiste BOUDREAUX, on the other part, who declared that act passed January 6, 1846, where DARCE sold a certain Negro slave, named William of about 30 years of age for $700.00, to be paid over time, be rescinded and annulled. Book L, No. 4070, pgs 320 –322 No. 11.2048.  On February 12, 1847, appeared Joseph Bernard DARCE, who declared he sold, ceded, transferred and delivered to Huberville ARSENAUX, a certain Negro slave named William, about 30 years of age, which the vendor acquired from Auguste ROSS at New Orleans, LA, sold in consideration of the sum of $700.00, to be paid over time, with 8 percent interest.  Witnessed by Michael Surville TRAHAN and William S. CAMPBELL.  Signed by Joseph Bernard DARCE, Huberville ARSENAUX and Voltaire THIBODAUX, Notary Public and recorder.
Book L, No. 4074, pgs. 333, 334 No. M.4/812.  On February 18, 1847, appeared Mrs. Marie Louise MALBROUX, wife of Charles Lemichael DUROY, who declared that on September 3, 1846, her husband sold, ceded, transferred and delivered to Mr. John MC DONALD, property described first as South-west quarter of Section No. 50, second, the Northwest quarter of Section No. 50, third, the South-west quarter of Section No. 57, Township 18, Range No. 19 East, land containing a total of 199 superficial acres, in consideration of the sum of $286.35, and she declared that she is satisfied with the sale and renounces all her right and claims, she has or may have in the sold properties.  Act passed at residence of Charles Lemichel DUROY.  Witnessed by Clay THIBODAUX and John CUNNINGHAM.  Signed by Marie Louise MALBROU (mark), Charles Lemichel DUROY and Voltaire THIBODAUX, Notary Public and recorder.
Book L, No. 4081, pgs. 341, 342 No. M.4/814.  On February 4, 1847 before Gustave A. KNOBLOCK, recorder, functioning as Notary Public, appeared Charles DUPRE, who presented and exhibited a certain note, made and executed by Adolphe VERRET on May 2, 1845, for a sum of $650.00, where appearer declared note paid and satisfied, gives by these presents, good and valuable acquttance.  Witnessed by Pierre VERRET and Eugene W. BLAKE.  Signed by Charles DUPRE and Gustave A. KNOBLOCK, Notary Public and recorder.
Book L, No. 4082, pgs. 342, 343 No. 112A-11041.  On February 20, 1847, appeared Oliver N. DUBOIS, who declared that over time advances made to him, by Simeon CLEMENT, amounting to $50.00 and in order to assure the re-imbursement, he gives full power and authorization, to pay himself out of the money, which shall proceed from the Public Auction Sale of the property of the succession of late Paul DUBOIS.  Witnessed by Adolphe VERRET and George K. Book L, No. 4085, pgs. 345, 346.  On March 9, 1847, appeared Simeon CLEMENT and Oliver N. DUBOIS, declared act passed February 20, 1847, where DUBOIS acknowledged owing Mr. CLEMENT, the sum of $50.00, declarers said act be rescinded and annulled.  Witnessed by Come Blaise DEOUX and William S. Book L, No. 4086, pgs. 346, 347.  On March 9, 1847, appeared Oliver N. DUBOIS, who declared that in consideration of the sum of $225.00, paid cash, he sold, ceded, transferred and delivered to Come Blaise DEOUX, all rights and claims, in succession of Paul DUBOIS, his brother, as well as that of Mrs. Orellia DUBOIS, wife of Rosemond BROUSSARD, that he purchased January 15, 1847.  Witnessed by Charles Lemichel DUROY and F. Book L, No. 4087, pgs. 347 – 349.  On March 9, 1847, appeared Francois Severin LAPERUSE, who declared he sold, ceded, transferred and delivered to Lubin LAGRANGE, a certain piece of land, situated in this parish, on right bank of Bayou Black, containing two arpents front, more or less, by forty arpents in depth, bounded above by land of Edmond HEBERT and below by land of Pierre GERBEAU, land vendor acquired at Public Auction Sale, of the properties belonging to the succession of widow Guillaume MALBROUX, on May 11, 1844, in consideration of the sum of $600.00, to be paid over time.  Witnessed by Charles DUPRE and Charles Lemichel DUROY.  Signed by Francois Severin LAPERUSE (mark), Lubin LAGRANGE (mark) and Voltaire THIBODAUX, Notary Public and recorder.
Book L, No. 4091, pg. 354.  On March 10, 1847, a receipt; to wit; on Bayou Terrebonne, COURTEAU declared on May 2, 1831, to have received from Alexander VERDIN, the sum of $105.00, on account, for the plantation, which I sold him.  Witnessed by Pierre CHIASSON and Louis VERRET.  Signed COURTEAU (mark) and Voltaire THIBODAUX.  Recorded March 10, 1847.
Book L, No. 4094, pgs. 370 – 373.  On March 8, 1847 appeared Charles BLANCHARD, who declared sold, ceded, transferred and delivered to Come Blaise DEOUX, a certain land situated on Bayou Black, containing one and one-fourth arpents front, with 40 arpents in depth, which survey designates as being portion of Quarter Section No. 53, Township No. 17, Range 16, bounded above by W. WARNER, and below by land of Bellony BLANCHARD, land acquired from Etienne ORDONNEAU, by act passed by Henry S. THIBODAUX, then Judge, being portion of same land bought from U. S. Government, by A. LAGRANGE and R. LAGRANGE, on June 9, 1836, sold in consideration of the sum of $550,00, paid over time.  Now appeared Marie Louise BOUDREAUX, wife of Charles BLANCHARD, who declared she was satisfied with sale, and approves of it, entirely, and renounces all titles, claims and rights she has or may have on the land.  Witnessed by Richard H. Book L, No. 4095 pgs 373, 374 No. M.4/816.  On March 12, 1847, appeared Napoleon BABIN, Marie Madelaine Lorensa BABIN, wife of Cumming OLIVIER and Jacques BABIN, who declared to have received from their father Francois BABIN, their tutor, the sums that were due each, in the succession of their mother, Marie Marcellite COULOITRE, and appearers, by these presents, give final acquittance and release of any mortgages in their favor.  Witnessed by Mchael Surville TRAHAN and H. S. HANCOCK.  Signed by Napoleon BABIN (mark), Marie M. Lorensa BABIN (mark), Cumming OLIVER (mark), Jacques BABIN (mark), Adolphe VERRET, Notary Public and Voltaire THIBODAUX, recorder.
Book L, No. 4096, pgs. 374, 375.  On March 13, 1847, appeared Adolphe PELEGRIN, who presented authorization, given to him by Mrs. Catherine ANDRA, widow of Jean Laurent PELEGRIN, dated March 12, 1847, whereby Jean Laurent PELEGRIN is authorized to remove and annul a mortgage which exists in her favor against Damien MARTIN, for the sum of $50.00, on a certain land, on the right side of Bayou Little Caillou, containing two and one-half arpents front, being lower half of Section No. 18, Township No. 18, Range No. 18, being same land acquired from Charles Lemichel DUROY, witnessed by Eugene ENGERRAN and Joseph TOUPS, act recorded Book J. No. 3327, and declarer sum of $50.00, was well and duly paid, and ask that the mortgage here in mentioned be cancelled and annulled.  Witnessed by Adolphe VERRET and Casmir TREMOLET.  Signed by Adolphe PELEGRIN and Voltaire THIBODAUX, recorder.
Book L, No. 4112, pgs. 400, 401 No. M.4/817.  On March 27, 1847, appeared Fernand AQUILAR, who declared he received $150.00, payment in full, for the price of a certain piece of land, situated on left bank of Bayou Little Caillou, containing three-quarters of an arpent front, more or less, with depth of survey, bounded above by land of Miss Constance GAUDIN and below by land of Damien MARTIN, land that was mortgaged to Damien MARTIN, for $150.00, payable over time.  Now AQUILAR declared to have received full payment, and does cancel and annul any and all mortgages in his favor.  Witnessed by Alexandre LIRETTE and Simon BROWN.  Signed by Fernand AQUILAR and Voltaire THIBODAUX, recorder.
Book L, No. 4946, pgs. 282 – 284.  On January 7, 1847, appeared Joseph Bazile DUPRE, who declared, he sold, ceded, transferred and delivered to August MOLEY, a certain piece of land, situated on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne, about 17 miles below Houma, containing two arpents front, with depth of survey, bounded above by land of Mrs. Jean Pierre DUGAS and below by land of Casimir TREMOILET, for $600.00, with $300.00 paid in cash, and remainder over time, with 8 % interest..  Now appeared Mrs. Adeline LEONARD, wife of Joseph Bazile DUPRE, who declared she is satisfied with sale and renounces all her right, concerning the sale.  Witnessed by Jean BESSE and Florentin MOUTARDIER.  Signed by Joseph Bazile DUPRE, Adeline LEONARD, Auguste MOLEY and Voltaire THIBODAUX, N. P. and recorder.
Book L., No. 3971, pgs. 162, 163 No. 10/2011.  On October 26, 1846, appeared Theogene WAGENSPACK, who declared that for and in consideration of the sum of $185.00, paid in cash, he sold, ceded, transferred and delivered to William Claiborne WATKIN, a certain land on right bank of Bayou Little Caillou, containing one and one-half arpents front, and such depth as bears the survey, being a part of the upper half, of Section No. 9, Township No. 18, Range --, land which the vendor acquired from the U. S. Government.  Witnessed by Joseph GUIDRY Jr. and Jean BESSE.  Signed by Theogene WAGENSPACK (mark), William Claiborne WATKINS and Voltaire THIBODAUX, recorder and Notary Public.
Book N. No. 259 pgs 352, 353 (original missing).  {this act out of order}On September 1, 1850, before Adolphe VERRET, Notary Public, appeared Hugh DASPIT, who declared that by act dated July 14, 1849, registered Book N. No. 4531, Felix DASPIT mortgaged in his favor, a certain piece of land, on left bank of Bayou Little Caillou, bounded above by land of F. MICHEL and below by land of Jean Baptiste DUPLANTY Sr., comprising a part of Sections # 13 and # 14, and another piece of land, situated on left bank of Bayou Little Caillou, containing two arpents front, more or less, by depth that bears the title or survey, bounded above by land of Eugene GUIDRY and below by land of Jules LAGARDE, for two notes, one for $400.00 and another for $600.00.  Signed by Hugh DASPIT and Adolph VERRET, Notary Public.
