Cheryl Singhal, Joanna Waddill Chapter, represented Louisiana for the ceremonies
at Ford's Theatre hosted by the National Park Service and the National
Genealogical Society to celebrate the completion of the Civil War Soldiers
& Sailors massive computer data base. This was a project of then UDC
President General, Peggy Palmer. Mrs. Palmer represented the UDC as one
of the eight organizations that participated and completed this project.
Along with Cheryl, other division UDC members who worked to
input the soldiers from Louisiana were Joyce Bridges, Jane Newberry,
Molly Wiggins and Lou Ann Rigby.
