Placing Confederate Flags on graves of Soldiers

Dorothy Brown, chapter Recorder of Military Service Awards, and Fay Bowe, chapter President, place Confederate Flags on the graves of 27 soldiers in the Old City Cemetery in Bastrop.

Bonne Idee Cemetery

Chapter President Fay Bowe assists Louisiana Sons of Confederate Veterans camps in the dedication of CSA Grave Stones for the following Confederate soldiers:

John Woodson Bowe
William Ashley Briley
Berton Green Daniel
Enoch Little Daniel
William Albert Daniel
James J. Mayo

The impressive grave stone dedication ceremony for these early pioneers of Morehouse Parish included a roll call of the soldiers, history of the families of these men, gun salutes, taps and retiring of the colors. A reception was enjoyed by all at the St. Andrews Episcopal Church
in Mer Rouge.
