The Winn Parish Genealogical & Historical Association was established on
September 14, 1996 for the purpose of "research, recording, and publication
of genealogical & historical information on past and present families and
residents of the parish  as well as on the historical places and events
within the boundaries of Winn Parish as set forth by the 1851 legislation."
(WGHA  was incorporated in Aug 1997.) One newsletter subscription is included
with each membership. The first newsletter was mailed Apr 1997. Although
membership year is from Jan to Dec, the newsletter quarterlies are mailed in
Apr, Jul, and Oct, with the last issue about mailed in Jan and will include
renewal details for the coming year.  New memberships will be supplied with
back copies of that years newsletter. Please mail all correspondence, dues,
books for review, etc to the above address. It will be forwarded to the
correct officer.

Consist of one individual person (and his/her separate lineage--can not join
on the spouse's lineage.)

( ) Family membership (with spouse).................................................................$20.00

A Family membership consist of a married couple or two unmarried persons (ie.
sisters, mother/ daughter, etc.) living in the same household and sharing at
least one common ancestor.  A Family membership is entitled to receive only
one (1) copy of any regularly issued publication.  However, each person in a
family membership is entitled to be a member in his/her own right with all
the rights and privileges of such membership. The spouse of an active member
shall automatically receive all the benefits and privileges that are bestowed
upon active members, so long as the family membership status remains.

YOU MAY ATTACH or mail separately: 1 fifty word query per individual
membership or 2 fifty word query per family membership to be used as received
during the year as space permits in our newsletter.  Ancestral charts are
accepted to be use as space permits, but must have a Winn Parish connection
showing.  Charts may be retained for inclusion into a "book of charts" when
enough are received. Please send ancestral chart and list on
back of this sheet the major surnames you are researching.
