Abou Dib
Born likely in Aakoura, Jbeil
As per Father Antonious Hattouni, author of the book on the "History of the Convent of Saydet
el- Hakleh" meaning "Our Lady of the Field", the Dib family tree of "
Dlebta, Keserwan" has long branches, coronated by flowers. Its roots are still in
Aakoura, Jbeil (Byblos) and is very old.
Belonging to it,
are the families "Zouein" and "Douein", and also there are
"Dib" branches in Dlebta, and "Mhanna" in Becheeli and Lahfed
(Palestine ?) and Tripoli, and Bhennes and Edde (Batorun), and Mazzraat Kfer Zebian, and Hrajel, and Kleiaat, and Haret Sakhr
and Ghadir, and Sarba, and Baskenta, and Deir el Ahmar, and Hoch Bardt, etc.. and from it, the family of
"Sabounji" in Belat (Jbeil ?).
Abou Dib is the "Patriarch" of the entire family. We are not sure about his name because the records start with his sons Khoury Hanna,
the uncle of Abou Youssef Elias Dib, and his nephew Abou Youssef Elias. We will call this Patriarch "Abou Dib" for now.
Children :
Abou Elias Dib
Khoury Hanna
