Descendants of Keelon Peddycord of Forsyth Co., NCTo
date, I do not know of any documentation on the parents of Keelon Peddcord.
The parents of his wife Grizella LEDFORD were John LEDFORD and Griseela McKaughan.
Since Keelon and his family appear in Forsyth county with the descendants of
Nathan Peddicoart and Sarah Lucas, it is assumed that that Keelon is the son
of one of their children. Within some of the families descended from Keelon
and Grisella there are family stories of Cherokee heritage, from the maternal
side of their family, although in some of those cases I can not find anything
in the records so far that would indicate that is true.
