Rosannah Simpers wife of George Tracey and John Griffith

This is a photograph of Rosanah Simpers (b. 16 Jan 1819 ,d 19 Nov 1911) she was the wife of George Tracey (b. 21 Sept 1816, d. 30 Oct 1855. After George died she married John Griffith. Rosannah was the daughter of Benjamin C. Simpers and Sophia Smith Ensor. Rosannah and George obtained from the estate of her mother the tract of land Adreons Hills and Dales near Blackrock. This tract of land was given to Sophia Smith Ensor by her father, George Ensor. In a large old "bank barn" type structure that was built as an inn, George Tracey operated a store, and the name Tracey's Store Road was applied to the road by their property. This photograph of Rosannah was taken at R. Holyund studios at No 231 West Baltimore Street, Baltimore, MD. The back of the photo was marked Grandmother Tracey, Gady (for short)
