This was a fairly new Church, Earler the people had to go to the Kandy Churches.

At St.Paul's Church Kandy there is the following baptism record ;-  Jacob Wilfred Armitage baptized on 1.12.1912 at age 6 years son of J.Armitage.

There are 2 Armitage girls married at CC Dickoya in the 1890s – Emma Louisa Armitage m:1893 Charles Cecil Stafford; and Florence Evelyn Armitage, m:6.6.1895 Edward John Wetherall. Their parents were not mentioned in these marriages, but they are the corrrect age and place as HT’s* family above.

There is again a George Armitage, stockbroker m Clackmannanshire 14.11.1866 Montague Abercrombie & having 6 children in Colombo. Could he be HT's* brother?
