(Boston Advertiser, 17 Sept. 1822) Lyman, Moses At Cheshire, Lieut, Moses Lyman, ae 69 yrs.; firm supporter of the American Revolution and remained steadfast friend of its principles till death. (Ind. Chronical, 18 September 1811) Lyman, Samuel At Hinsdale, 14th ult. Mr. Samuel Lyman, a soldier of the revolution ae 96 yrs., formerly of Wilbraham. Carried to his grave acars of wounds received from British officer on battle field. (Boston Advertiser, 17 December 1850) Padelford, Zachariah At South Adams, 7th inst. Mr. Zachariah Pedelford. Born 15 June 1754 at Taunton. Soldier of revolution; pensioner. First called into active service at Boston under Captain King. Later served in New York; was at battle of White Plains. Left service in 1777; sailed from Boston on privateer HANCOCK, Captain Manley. The "HANCOCK" having captured a prize, Mr. Padelford was one of the prize crew places aboard to take it into French West Indies. Overhauled by British ship. He and Another man (from Boston) jumped overboard and swam ashore, Taken to the house of Governor who assisted them to get to American Vessel in Harbor of St. Pierrs. Shipped for Boston. Captured by British, and was on prison ship st New York, under great hardships, until exchanged. Soon after this he moved with his family from Taunton to Savoy. (B.A. & P., 30 April 1843.) Pattison At Lenox, Mr. Pattison, a revolutionary soldier, ae 70 yrs. (American Traveller, 6 January 1832) Phillips, Seth At Great Barrington, Mr. Seth Phillips, a revolutionary soldier, ae 76 yrs. (B.A. & P., 4 February 1834) Potter, James At North Adams, 22nd July., Capt. James Potter, ae 89 yrs. a revolutionary soldier,. (B.A. & P., 2 February 1849) Powell, John At Lanesborough, Col. John Powel, ae 77 yrs. One of the first families to settle Lanesbourgh, and at death one of the oldest inhabitants. Devoted Whig in the revolution and enlisted all his feelings on his country's side. (American Traveller, 19 January 1827) Putnam, Peter At Williamstown, Peter Schuyler Putnam, ae 63 yrs. He was youngest son of General Putnam the Revolutionary Hero, and was out with him in the last campaign. A. & )., 16 August 1839) Sherman, William At Williamstown, 13th inst. Mr. William Bissell Sherman, ae 87 yrs.; a patriot of the revolution. (Boston Patriot, 31 March 1846) Snow, Sylvanus At Becket, Mr. Sylvanus Snow, Revolutionary pensioner, ae 97 yrs. Served several campaigns in the French War, and nearly through the Revolution, Engaged in 14 battles; wounded but one (at Bunker Hill); carried ball to grave. (B. A. & P., 18 October 1836) Whiton, Joseph At Lee, 16th August, Hon. Joseph Whiton, in 69th year. Joined revolutionary army in 1776. Was at battle of White Plains and at surrender of Burgoyne. For many years represented Lee in Legislature, and for two years represented the County of Berkshire in the State Senate. Major General of Militia; Associate Justice of Court of Sessions for County of Berkshire.
