Padelford, Seth (1807-1878) — of Providence, Providence County, R.I. Born in Taunton, Bristol County, Mass., October 3, 1807. Republican. Lieutenant Governor of Rhode Island, 1863-65; Presidential Elector for Rhode Island, 1868; Governor of Rhode Island, 1869-73. Died August 26, 1878. Interment at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence, R.I.
