O'Mahoney, Joseph Christopher (1884-1962) — also known as Joseph C. O'Mahoney — of Cheyenne, Laramie County, Wyo. Born in Chelsea, Suffolk County, Mass., November 5, 1884. Democrat. Delegate to Democratic National Convention from Wyoming, 1924 (alternate), 1940, 1944, 1948; member of Democratic National Committee from Wyoming, 1929-34; U.S. Senator from Wyoming, 1934-53, 1954-61; defeated, 1952. Died in the Bethesda Naval Hospital, Bethesda, Montgomery County, Md., December 1, 1962. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Cheyenne, Wyo.
