Historical Postcards of Ayer

These are antique postcards of Ayer. I am in possession of multiple originals of each card. They were photographed by Wm. Brown of Ayer. You'll notice that there are some that are duplicated in color. The actual postcards are the same way. As you can see, it only cost 1 cent to mail a card when they were sold.

The original high school. No longer exists.

  Same postcard in color.

Public Library. This is now PART of a larger building.

Main Street looking west .

Another shot of Main Street looking west.

Railroad Station. Standing on Main St. facing south.

Main Street from atop the rail tower in previous card.

Another view of the Rail Station.

St. Mary's  Catholic church. The rectory is much larger now.

Ayer town hall.

Same postcard in color. The Ivy is no longer there.
