Letter from Gilman M. Burnham of San Francisco to Susan M. Goodhue of Essex, 1881

Mentioned in the letter is the death of Noah Burnham; the Cape Ann Advertiser as a source of news about Essex; that Gilman Burnham will be 70 years old in September; Aunt Susie; Lulu is a school teacher, but is in poor health; Sam Pierce, a resident of San Francisco; Uncle Nehemiah; and the old eight day clock that had been in the Burnham family for 5 or 6 generations.
