BRETHREN -- This list is dedicated to genealogy and welcomes anyone who wants to exchange information and search for Brethren Roots (i.e., ancestors and families that are or were members the Church Group founded in 1708 near Swarzenau Germany). MCF-ROOTS-L -- A mailing list (Maryland Catholics on the Frontier) for the discussion of descendants of Maryland Catholics who migrated first to Kentucky and then to other parts of the frontier. This was a planned migration and the first group left Maryland in 1785 with others following for the next 10 years or so.
