   O'HARE—Mrs. Grace E. O'Hare, aged 19 years, 9 months, daughter of the late Officer John J. Crowley, died today at her mother's home, 107 Blossom street. She leaves a husband, a mother, Mrs. Mary E. Crowley, and a brother, Leo Crowley.

Alson R. Sumner Was Member of
Co. K in Civil War
   Alson R. Sumner, a veteran of the Civil war and well known in this city died last night at his residence on Beech street, this city. He was 71 years of age and was born in Middleboro, Vt., April 9, 1838.
   At the beginning of the war on May 6, 1861, he enlisted in Co. K of Watertown, Mass. in the 6th Reg. Mass. Vol. and was mustered into the U. S. service on July 2, 1861. He was constantly with his regiment and bore a loyal and faithful part in all its campaigns of the Potomac. On Aug. 30 he was promoted to a corporal and sergeant for meritorious services. Aug. 30, 1862 he was severely wounded at the battle of Manassas or 2d Bull Run Va., in the right thigh. He fell into the hands of the enemy, was a prisoner of war and afterwards was parolled and released. Later he was transferred to the V.[eteran's] R.[eserve] Corps where he completed the rest of his service. He leaves a widow and three sons and two daughters.

Funeral Services Held Over Remains
of Mrs. Beatty
   Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon over the remains of Mrs. Helen Louise Beatty, wife of Vincent R. Beatty at the home on Russell street. The services were attended by a large number of relatives and friends including a delegation from F. P. H. Rogers' Relief Corps of which deceased was a member. Rev. M. R. Leonard officiated and at the close of the prayer the Woman's Relief Corps services were held under the direction of President Mrs. Chipman and other officers of the corps. There was a profusion of floral tributes. The remains will be taken to Mt. Auburn today for interment. Coolidge & Strauch had charge of the arrangements.

SUMNER—In this city, July 30, Alson R. Sumner, aged 71 years. Funeral services at late residence, 28 Beech street, Monday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment in West Acton. Relatives and friends are invited.
TOWNSEND—In this city, July 30, Mrs. Jessie M. Townsend, aged 59 years. Funeral from the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Popp, 88 Maple street Sunday at 1.30 p.m. Burial at Mt. Feake. Relatives and friends invited to attend.
