| The death of Charles F. Morse of Chelmsford, well known in Lowell business and fraternal circles, occurred suddenly yesterday morning from heart failure at the age of 70 years. Mr. Morse had been in his usual health and with Mrs. Morse had removed to 70 Andrews street for the winter months on Saturday. He had been at a motion picture theatre in which he had a managing interest and had returned shortly after midnight and was sitting talking to Mrs. Morse when death came. For fifteen years Mr. Morse had been a member of the firm of Derby & Morse, electricians in Middle street, first entering the employ of Mr. Derby as an apprentice. About 15 years ago he removed to Chelmsford and engaged in the poultry business on an extensive scale with George W. Parker at what is known as the Sweetser place in Boston road, continuing until the outbreak of the World war. For several years past he had been interested in moving picture theatres in Lowell and North Chelmsford. He was a life member of Pentucket lodge, A. F. and A. M.; a member of Mt. Horeb R. A. Chapter and was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Aleppo Temple Mystic Shrine at Boston. Mr. Morse was born in Northumberland, N. H., May 1, 1856. His wife survives him. |
