A resident of Watertown for [illegible] Miss Katherine M. Ahern of 8 Avon Rd., died at her [home] April 22, following a long [illness]. She is the daughter of the [late] John J. and Mary J. ([illegible]) Ahern, and is survived by [illegible] sisters: Miss Helen Ahern, Mrs. Frederick P. Donovan [illegible] of Watertown; and one [illegible] as E., an assessor for the [City of] Cambridge. Miss Ahern was a teacher [at the] Longfellow School in Cambridge.

The funeral was held [illegible] at 10 a.m. from her home [under] the direction of the [Frederick] O'Day Funeral Directors. A solemn Requiem Mass followed [at] 11 a.m. at Our lady of [illegible] Church in Belmont. [Celebrants] Rev. Charles E. Sheridan; [illegible] Rev. Edmund Griffin; and [subdeacon] Rev. John [?.] O'Brien. Burial took place at the Cambridge Cemetery.
