MRS. M. J. O'HEARN,
MOTHER OF TWO IN
SERVICE PASSES AWAY

   Mrs. Catherine M. (Tarbett) O'Hearn, wife of Michael J. O'Hearn of 56 Rockingham ave., passed away at her home yesterday afternoon. She had been in poor health for some time and had left the hospital about four weeks ago.
   The deceased was born in Salmonier, Newfoundland, the daughter of the late John and Margaret Tarbett. She came to this country about 50 years ago and moved to Malden from East Boston 12 years ago. She was an active member of Court Maplewood Catholic Daughters.
   Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Francis, who is serving with the Coast Guard at Bainbridge, Md. and is now at home for the services, and Joseph, who is serving with the Army in Korea; three daughters, Mrs. Prosper (Mary) DePauw of 140 Granite st., Mrs. Theresa Christianson of Rockford, Ill., and Miss Ann O'Hearn, at home; and two grandchildren.
   Funeral services will be held from the home of her daughter, Mrs. DePauw of Granite st., on Monday morning, followed by a solemn high mass of requiem at St. Joseph's church at ten o'clock. Interment will be at Holy Cross cemetery.
WILLARD E. BROWN
DIES IN CALIFORNIA

   The body of Willard E. Brown, 85, who for many years was a resident of Brookings st., Medford, is being brought to Medford from Santa Barbara, Cal., where he died late Wednesday. There will be a committal service by Fourth Estate lodge of Masons Monday afternoon at Oak Grove cemetery in Medford. The body is due to arrive by plane at Logan Airport Sunday morning.
   Mr. Brown was for many years a newspaper telegrapher with Boston papers and had retired nine years ago, when he went to California to make his home with his only daughter, Mrs. Miriam Mignette.
   He was a 32nd Degree Mason and was a member of Samuel Crocker Lawrence lodge of Medford and Fourth Estate lodge of Boston. He was holder of a 50-year Masonic medal.
   His wife, the former Lillian Danforth, died in 1836. He leaves only a daughter.
