Maybe some of your ancestors were Catholic but for whatever reason, your religious upbringing was of a different faith. This is the perfect opportunity to learn about some of the Catholic records and their history. Mr. Lally-Johnson’s presentation will cover the creation, background and history of the Archives. He will describe the different types of Sacramental records and what you might expect, and not expect, to find in the records. Mr. Lally-Johnson will also talk about the other types of materials, other than Sacramental records, and what you may find in those records. He will present suggestions that may facilitate your research and what you should do before arriving at the Archives. He will also discuss how you gain access to the records and some of the restrictions.
