Topic: The Basics of Digital Cameras

Speaker: Ken Painter

1:30 p.m. John Curtis Free Library, Rt. 139, 534 Hanover Street, Hanover, MA (781) 826-2927

Are you interested in purchasing a digital camera? They have been available for some time now and seem to be the future of photography. Yet the camera and the terminology can be confusing. Of course once you have taken the plunge, you ask yourself, "now what do I do? How do I store them, print them and more importantly, how do I share them?" Join us as our speaker, Ken Painter, explores the world of digital cameras. Ken will help us to understand the basics of the camera as well as the terminology. He will touch upon what a pixel is and how many are desirable for the type of photography you plan to do. Ken will also talk about how to save and print the photos as well as what you can do with the photos.
