Topic: Irish-American Catholic Genealogy

Speaker:Michael Brophy

The destruction of many Irish records makes researching this group a challenge. Michael will discuss existing vital records and census records as well as unique census substitutes for the 19th century. He will touch upon what can be found online and in area repositories, such as the Archdiocese of Boston Archives, NEGHS and other.

TMichael is the Director of Publicity for Mass Genealogy Council, Treasurer of the New England Chapter of the APG and a member of NEHGS and TIARA.
