September Meeting

September 9, 2006

Topic: Handwriting Analysis and Genealogy

Speaker: Irene P. Lambert, MGA

1:30 p.m. John Curtis Free Library, Rt. 139, 534 Hanover Street, Hanover, MA (781) 826-2927

Let's learn all we can about our ancestors.Their handwriting may tell us things about them that no other record can.Our speaker this month will tell us about personal traits that we would not find any other way.

Irene Lambert, who was Awarded Graphoanalyst of the Year in 2005 by IGAS has an extensive background in the study of handwriting analysis. She is a published author and has lectured extensively all over the U.S. and Canada. She has made numerous TV and Radio appearances.

She will speak about the background of handwriting analysis, validity, and the personality traits that can be determined from the writing with examples of some of these traits , results from a blind study with a genealogist, and imput from some of her genealogy cases.

Documents can verify information about an ancestor's birth, marriage, military service, and death. However, handwriting analysis can fill in the personality of the ancestor, such as ......she was social and outgoing and had a strong generous nature. Or ......she was a sensitive woman who deeply felt the stings of negative remarks from others.
