All the death certificates I have for her siblings list her mother's maiden name as Jane TWIGG (Jane TWIGG m. Harrison TWIGG) with the exception of Ruth's. It has her mother's maiden name listed as Jane "POTTS", leading me to believe there is a POTTS connection to this KASEKAMP line. Any help would be appreciated.

Any tidbit of information on the DAVIS family in this region would be of great help.

The GRIESE Family ran a large dairy on Bedford Road, Cumberland. I know in the 1960's Paul GRIESE was running it with some of his brothers. Thanks

Should anyone have any information on any of these families , please contact me. All suggestions, clues, hints, hypotheses welcome.

Some time around 1914-1920 George Charles GRIFFITH died, and Ann (FARRADY) GRIFFITH went to work in an orphanage (I believe in Cumberland) where her young children lived with her.
When my grandfather was old enough, he moved out here to California and lost all track of his family. He passed away about 15 years ago, and I have been trying to track down the family ever since! Any contact would be appreciated.

They had two children, Anna (@1844) and William (@1847), in Ireland. Mary Ellen (FLOOD)(1853), John (1855), and Michael Patrick (1857) KEARNEY, were born in Mount Savage. Michael KEARNEY died in 1877 and is buried in St. Patrick's in Mount Savage. His tombstone states he was a native of County Longford, Ireland. No further information is known about either his or Ellen's origination point or parents.
Anna married William MCHUGH in Jan, 1867, had one daughter Mary Gonzaga. She was widowed by 1880, and lived in Cumberland till her death in 1924. William (per family notes, unable to prove to this point) married a Catherine Doolin and moved to Youngstown, OH by 1900 where he dies in 1916. Mary Ellen married Francis FLOOD, had four children, Joseph, Annie, and Rose all born in PA, and Ferdinand, born in OH. She too lived in Youngstown, OH and died there in 1913.
John KEARNEY married Ellen LOGSDON (per family notes, unable to prove to this point), had at least one child. His time and place of death unknown. Michael Patrick, married Catherine TANSEY in 1881 (unsubstantiated). Catherine died 1882. Michael Patrick then married Margaret MCKONE of Piedmont, WV. Michael Patrick was superintendent of fort construction. He died in MA in 1921. Margaret died in NY in 1928. Both are buried in St. Peter's cemetery in Westernport, MD.

Sophia LANTZ married George W DEVICMAN, 18 Sep 1827, Allegany Co., MD. Clarissa LANTZ married George CATLETT, 3 Nov 1822, Allegany Co., MD. Clarissa and George are buried in the Methodist Church cemetery in Old Town, Allegany Co. Mary LANTZ married Jacob TAYLOR, before 10 May 1824. Clarissa LANTZ and George CATLETT are my 3rd great-grandparents.
Seeking identity of parents of Daniel LANTZ and identification of his wife's surname and parents. A family group sheet on file with the NGS Library in Arlington, VA suggests that Margaret was a KIMBERLY. Would like to hear from descendants of Daniel and Margaret or from anyone having information that might determine the origins of Daniel and Margaret. Can provide a list of descendants of this couple to interested cousins.
George CATLETT's father, David, was born ca. 1753 in Prince William Co.,
VA with close family ties in the lower Shenandoah Valley. There were
LANTZ families in the Shenandoah Valley, as well. Is Daniel connected to
the VA families or is he more likely connected to the PA families?
