I am looking for any information on George Edward ALLEN, Sr. He lived in the South end of Cumberland. He had seven children (Catherine, Mary, Margret, Dorothy, Lillian, George Jr., and Raymond). I think he died in the 1950's. Also looking for information on Helen Marie JONES. She lived on Chestnut Street in Cumberland until her death in 1986. I have received leads indicating she was a nurse at Scared Heart Hospital. Any information would be appreciated!!!! Lisa

His wife was Hannah? and had daughters Elizabeth, married Andrew HUSTON, Mary married ? WILSON, Winifred b. 1761, married Edward HUSTON, Margaret b. 1768 married Jacob WELKER, sons John GRATE, Jr. b 20 Mar 1772, married Lucina THATCHER, and George B. b. 1777, m. Susannah THATCHER. He was taxed on Bounty Land #3353.

Thomas H. BARNARD, born about 1807, and Sarah (WARNICK), born 9/3/1812 (daughter of John WARNICK) were listed in the 1850 census for Allegany County. Thomas was a miner. Their children: Martha BARNARD born about 1831; Eleanor BARNARD born about 1834; John W. BARNARD born about 1836; Josiah BARNARD born about 1838; David BARNARD born about 1840; Rachel BARNARD born about 1843; and Ann BARNARD born about 1846. Does anyone have any further information?
