CHANEY/CHENEY in Allegany Co., MD, 1789-1832 I am looking for my great great grandfather Asa CHANEY’s father Thomas William CHANEY, who came to a valley of the Black River in 1789 from Prince George Co., MD. with brothers, cousins, and other male relatives named CHANEY/CHENEY: Edward, Greenberry, John, Louis and Zacariah, as well as a doctor named Jeremiah DUVALL, who evidently was their leader. According to my mother, Thomas was a farmer near Flintstone, MD, and had twelve children. The oldest, Thomas CHANEY, Jr., built an inn that was more recently known as Bartholow’s Inn. The youngest named William CHANEY (b. 1819) married a woman named Melinda and stayed on the family farm. Asa CHANEY was one of the middle children. He married Elizabeth MOORE in Flintstone, MD, in 1830, and they had a son, William Thomas CHANEY (b. 1831), before they left for OH in 1832. I am looking for any information about Thomas William CHENEY of Bedford Co.: his wife(ves)'s name(s), his parents’s names, and his other children’s names. Any futher information about the people I have mentioned will be greatly appreciated
