John KENNEDY enlisted in the Washington Co. MD (Oldtown hundred) militia Co., under the command of Capt. Daniel CRESAP, on Aug. 26, 1776. He and his family lived in this area for several years. While there his wife (name unknown) died. I would like to find the date of her death and her name. In the book "Rev. Records of Maryland" of the "Patroits Oaths of Fidelity & Support, 1778, it states that John KENNEDY was in Andrew BRUCE's returns 2 March 1778. I would like to locate where he lived. It also lists a Charles KENNEDY. In the same Militia Co.that John served in we find: John COY, Jr. & Sr.,Joseph COLLARD, Benjamin JOHNSON, Peter COUNTRYMAN, and Henry COUNTRYMAN. These families are all closely associated with the Kennedy family. If anyone can help on finding the location of the John KENNEDY family while they were in this area I would greatly appreciate it.

My David SNYDER, born 1807,in Bedford Co.Pa, Married Mary SWAGER in 1834, Bedford,PA. He & his family remained for a while in Barton-Allegany Co. area before moving on into what is now West Virginia. His father could have been named Jacob, from around the Hagerstown area. They later meet up with the SHIMER Family in WV.Some of David's family stayed near Barton,George's Creek region. Name changed to SNIDER in WV, by David after they moved into WV. Would like to find some "kin" or info as to David's father. Any of Martin SNYDER's descendants are from my line.

I am researching my MORRISON/MCKENZIE family in Maryland. John was born around 1770 and married Metheny Mary MCKENZIE. They moved to Knox County, OH in the early 1800's, then ended up in Howard Cty, IN in the mid 1800s.
