Andrew CLARK b.abt 1830 of Cumberland, Allegany, Maryland md. Ellen COLVIN abt.1854. Had one son John Andrew CLARK b.22 Jan 1855 in Cumberland, Maryland. Ellen died 1857 and is buried in Cumberland. Andrew "Andy" CLARK was an engineer on the Baltimore & Ohio Railroads, working east and west on the roads mainline out of Cumberland. After his wife's death Andy CLARK left his son with the boys Aunt Maggie CLARK near Frostburg, MD.

Have traced Robert MOSES and Hannah TEASDALE and their children to 1900 but looking to fill in the blanks including where in England they were born and ship and port of immigration. I am looking for information regarding my paternal grandfather, Davisson Armstrong BENSON, Jr. I know that he was born 4 May 1904 in Frostburg, Allegany, MD and that he was working at The Standard Arch Co. in Sep 1928 in Frostburg. His parents were Davison Armstrong BENSON, Sr. and Lutie Keller DELANO, married about 1901 in Frostburg. Where do the names Davisson and Armstrong come into the family? Who were his grandparents?

I am looking for information on my great-grandfather's family. His name is Levi Franklin COMBS, Sr. L.F. COMBS was born (1893) in Hardy Co, WV. He died in 1979 in Rio, WV. Married Ada LUPTON. His father was James Robert COMBS and his mother was Rosetta BAUGHMAN COMBS. I know he had a brother named Wade, who died in 1985. He had 2 additional brothers whom I have no names for. One may possibly be James Robert COMBS, Jr. He also had 4 sisters. If anybody has any information on the unknown names, I would appreciate it! Thanks!

I am looking to find out where my heritage comes from on my own. My uncle did some hunting, but I can never find him either. My father's name was Terrence Lee BROADWATER and my mother's name is Claudia Ellen BARNES (remarried). My father had one brother, James Freeman BROADWATER. As far as I am told, my dad's dad, my grandfather, his name was Freeman Nacomis BROADWATER and my dad's mother, my grandmother, her name was Mary Alice BROADWATER (nee BURKHIEMER). If anyone can shed some light on this subject, I sure would be grateful. I hope all the people that might know aren't dead already!

Seeking any information on the CRUTHERS and ROWE family that resided in Cumberland, MD. Edward J. ROWE and Mary Ellen CRUTHERS ROWE were married on 11-14-1900 by Rev. B.Howden. The family church was the Emanual Episcopal Church. Edward and Mary Ellen ROWE are both buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, along with the CRUTHERS family. Seeking any information of these two families. I would also like any information on the NELSON family believed to be cousins. Am also seeking information on Grandparents--Cruthers and Rowe. Geneological information suggests that the ROWES came from Virginia. Edward was the son of Samuel Edward and Mary Virginia STEVENS ROWE. Any information on these families would be appreciated.

I am trying to find any information about Luke ALDERTON born 1823, birthplace ? Died ? Marriage date? He married a Sarah ? born 1820, birthplace ? Died ?. They had two sons and one daughter - William P. ALDERTON, born 1845, died Nov 20, 1918, John ALDERTON born 1844 and Rachel ALDERTON born 1847. Luke may have come into Allegany County in the Oldtown area by way of Morgan County, West Virgina. William P. ALDERTON is my Great Grandfather, who married a Mazzy or Mazie SLIDER of Oldtown, born Sept. 1845, died Nov. 1925. Both were put to rest in ALDERTON Family Gravesite # 54 Green Ridge. Looking for any information pertaining to Luke ALDERTON, born around 1823 died in 1880. Luke married a Sarah (?) maiden name unknown. Sarah was born around 1820 and died April 1881. I am trying to discover where Luke might have come from and when he may have entered Allegany County. Also anything on the maiden name of Sarah.
