Need help identifying origination, parents and siblings of brothers John and Andrew (Johan / Andreas) REUSCHLEIN. John was born in 1798 in Bayern and married Anna Margarette (she is buried in the old German cemetery in CUMBERLAND). He died 02 February 1882 in Cumberland Maryland, but do not know where he is buried. They had two children that I know of, George and Frederic, but may have had more. Andrew was born in 1804 in Bayern and married Margaret F. (FISHER). She died and was buried in Cumberland, Maryland, but do not know where, he moved after she passed away to Illinois and is buried in the Arenzville cemeterey. They had at least three children, John, Frederick and Dorethea "Dora", but may have had more. There are some other REUSCHLEIN'S that settled in Wisconsin who came from Tauberbishofsheim, Bayern Germany and may be siblings, Josef Heinrich, Georg Andreas and possibly Valentine and Catherine REUSCHLEIN, but have not been conclusively linked to any of the REUSCHLEINS that lived in Cumberland, Maryland. Please email me with ANY information. Thanks, Todd

I work at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, NY. I am searching for information on baseballs that were reportedly kept in Lonaconing, MD by Robert Moses "Lefty" Grove, the Hall of Fame pitcher. According to a few sources, Grove kept a ball from each of his 300 major league wins. The 300th win ball (his last) is here in the Hall of Fame's collections. However, I am trying to find out what happened to the rest of them? According to one source he sent these baseballs to Lonaconing where they were displayed.

Hello, I am trying to confim the family of my gggrandfather Michael E. MOONEY who I believe was born to James and Elizabeth (TERNENT) MOONEY in Lonaconing, MD. 1880 Census has the family with James age 31, Elizabeth 24, Andrew 5, James 4, and Michael 1. 1900 census still in Lonaconing, now with more children but no Michael. He would be about 21 and may have left home as his brother James 24 and married and in Lonaconing. By 1920 Elizabeth was a widow and living in Turtle Creek PA, with sons Daniel A. and David A. I can not find Michael on any census until he is married to my gggrandmother by 1915 and living in Monroe County Rochester,NY. I am fairly certain that the above is his family since years ago an Uncle Dan (his brother) came up to visit. He came up from Turtle Creek PA and said the family came from Lonaconing, MD. Is anyone familar with this family? Can anyone give me any ideas on how to find out what happened to Michael between 1880 and 1915? Can anyone tell me how I can find out when his father James MOONEY died and where? I have written to the town of Lonaconing asking if it would be possible to obtain Michael's birth certificate, I have not heard back as of yet. Any thoughts about any of this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Sue
