On the back of the main tombstone in the REUSCHLEIN family plot (for John W's family) in St. Lukes Cemetery in Cumberland, is listed the surname of "STREET". The two unknown individual headstones are labled: Gertrude K. (B 1894 / D 1986), and Scott R.(B 1894 / D 1975) (Suspect Gertrude K. and Scott R. are the Street family) I have no idea what their connection to the Reuschlein family is.. if anyone knows, please email me.

Desperately trying to learn when John CUNNINGHAM of Paradise St., Midland, Md died. I know it was between 1900 and 1910 (thanks to census records) but have had no luck with obtaining a death date so I can search for an obit. Their church, St. Joseph's in Midland had a fire and all records were lost. The same thing happened with the cemetery records at St. Michael's in Frostburg. Charlie Often's wonderful resource has covered those years but no mention of John could be found in the Cumberland newspaper he copies records from. I would gratefully appreciate it if anyone out there has access to other newspapers of the time and/or any information on the CUNNINGHAM family. John CUNNINGHAM'S wife was Mary Ann MURPHY and that family just might have some information also. Thank you very much.

Hello, I was just wondering how I might go about posting or giving this website some genealogical material I've collected about my POOLE family of the Cumberland, MD area. I have a genealogy, some photos, and some other materials that I'd love to donate to the website, but am not terrifically computer-literate, so would need some help in terms of what format these items should be. I also have interesting information about the Little family of S.T. Little Jewelry, some of which I received from other members of this site. It'd be great to thank everyone for their help by putting what I've got on the web somehow. Any help is most appreciated! Thank you all.

I am back on the track of my line after 5 years of diversion into computer science. I am looking for the origins of Samuel DANNISON, born about 1743 near Flintstone, Maryland. I believe that he is the father of Jared, John, and Frederick all listed on the 1800 Census. I believe he was married to Elizabeth. I note that he was an "Administator" in the will/estate of John TWIGG, 1821. I believe Samuel and his adult sons, mentioned above lived near the headwaters of Murleys Branch between 1800 - 1810. I further believe that Jared and John travelled with their families to Ohio. I have more data from various records of Allegany and Washington Counties and a wealth of facts bearing on Jared and John in Ohio.

Does anyone know what/where the Allegany County Jail would be listed on the 1930 MD Census? [I have access to all on Heritage Quest]. I am looking for Luke HARBAUGH [son of John C. HARBAUGH] on the 1930 census. I don't know if he was even still alive in 1930. In the 1920 census there is one in the Allegany County Jail that is his approximate age.
