I am trying to find the parents of my great-great grandmother, Elizabeth BACON b. 1838 NY m. February 23, 1857 in Cumberland MD Augustus DARRAH b. 1827 PA. I have the photocopied page from the state archives, but it doesn't give any info. I am trying to find the church where they were married. I believe it is a Roman Catholic Church, since Augustus and Elizabeth are both buried in the Catholic Cemetery in Meyersdale PA. I have contacted both St. Peter & Paul, and St. Patrick Churches, and neither has any record of this marriage. Can anyone help? Or does anyone know of a BACON family in Cumberland at that time? Thanks.

I am looking for birth, marriage, and death information for Margaret CHAMBERS NOLAN. According to the 1900 census for Lonaconing, Maryland, she married Martin NOLAN in about 1894 or 1895. In 1900, she was 26 years old and had children Annie, Daniel, and Margaret.

We know that Margaret died young. Martin and Margaret (maybe called Rose) had a son, Leon, in 1901, and a son, William, on June 25, 1905. Margaret died sometime after William's birth. The 1910 census shows Annie, Leon, and William living with grandparents-- Thomas J. and Emiline CHAMBERS. This CHAMBERS family is next door to the Nolan's in the 1900 census.

Now, the 1880 census does not show a Margaret CHAMBERS living with Thomas and Emiline. Their listed daughter, Cecelia, would be about the right age, but I have information from a correspondent that Cecelia married another: November 22, 1892 St Marys of the Annunciation R.C Church Lonaconing M.D. The marriage of Patrick NOLAN and Cecilia CHAMBERS " Cecilia's parents were Thomas and Emma (FOGEL or FOGLE ) Chambers ( Emeline) Ceremony by The Rev Thomas Stanton witnesses: Katherine O'HARA ( Catherine) and Daniel ROWAN I would like Margaret's birth, marriage, and death dates, as well as proof she was the daughter of Thomas J. and Emiline Chambers. I have exhausted the resources on Ancestry.

I am interested in info on James KIRKE and Jane LAMONT who were both born in Ireland, married in 1856 in the Parish Church of Dalry, Greenhirst, Scotland.

Their children: James, Rachel, Elizabeth, Jane, Mary, John James, Agnes Stewartina (my ancestor) all born in Baildlandmill, Dalry, Scotland. They came to Barton, Moscow, MD somewhere between 1870 and 1873. They had more children in MD, Thomas, William, Andrew Martin, and Ellen. Jane LAMONT died Sep 7, 1917 and is buried at Laurel Hill, Barton, Moscow, MD. Her husband James KIRKE died Jan 24, 1893 and is buried in the same place. I am making the assumption that Laurel Hill is a cemetery. Any info on this family would be greatly appreciated.
