Searching for the parents of Thomas McClain COOPER who married Rebecca WILSON daughter of Robert WILSON. We have found record of them and their childrens' names and it says that at an early date they came to where we are currently located from Cumberland. The counties here have changed over the years so we are not sure what it was called since we don't know for sure what year they came here from Cumberland. It was more than likely either Augusta Cty, VA(1770) or Monongalia Cty, VA(1776) later Mon Cty was split into Harrison Cty (1784) and then later Harrison was split into Taylor Cty. Current day Taylor Cty is where their home was. Supposedly some of their children were born in MD and the rest here.
