Mr. Hughes was out fishing in a boat, and came ashore to warm himself at the home of Thomas Green, not far from the shore. In pulling the boat up on the shore he over-exerted himself. He had hardly seated himself by the stove when he fell over against it in unconscious condition. He was picked up by member of the Green family and carried to a sofa, where he expired an hour later, without ever regaining consciousness.
