In the 1970's and early 1980's about 120 cemeteries were located and transcribed by the Charles County Historical Society.  Starting in 2005 the goal of the Charles County Maryland Genealogical Society is to relocate the cemeteries that were transcribed by the Historical Society, get a GPS reading for the location of the cemeteries, photograph and transcribe the stones.
