21st Annual Meeting 2012

Saturday, May 5, 2012  9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
at Historic Christ Episcopal Church
Oakland Mills Road, Columbia, Howard County

The Coalition is pleased to announce that our 21st Annual Meeting
will convene at historic Christ Episcopal Church in Columbia on Saturday, May 5, 2012. 
The day – from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. – is planned to be educational, interesting, fun, and full of collegiality!
Two speakers will share their expertise at the meeting. 
David Zinner, Maryland cemetery advocate and director of an organization that provides
educational resources on Jewish burial, mourning and cemeteries, will speak about
strategies to protect istoric Maryland burial grounds. 
Susan Lenz, a creative fiber artist, will show and talk about her art quilts
hat combine grave rubbings with vintage household items through meticulous
hand and free-motion embroidery; her presentation is entitled “The Cemetery in Stitches”.      
The day also includes opportunities to present issues and discuss concerns,
a short business meeting and election, and a delicious lunch. 
Our silent auction will feature an art work by Susan Lenz
and a variety of other items and the gift shop will be open for business. 
Deserving volunteers will be honored with the coveted Periwinkle Award. 
The day ends with a special tour of the 200-year-old Brick Church and the parish cemetery. 

Christ Episcopal Church is located on
Oakland Mills Road in Columbia, Howard County. 
In addition to the historic church and extensive burial grounds, we’ll use the lovely
new church building and have plenty of parking. 
Cost for the day is $50 per person for Coalition members, $65 for non-members.
