Green Mount Cemetery Tours
Saturdays May 5, 12, 19, and 26, 2012
Baltimore City, MD.
Opened in 1839 a
sthe city's first urban-rural cemetery, Green
Mount is the final resting place of Johns Hopkinss, John W. Garrett,
Enoch Pratt,
William and Henry Walters, Betsy Patterson Bonaparte,
Arunah Abell, Albert Ritchie, Theodore McKeldin, Robert Oliver, John
Wilkes Booth,
and many
others. Meet Wayne Schaumburg inside the cemetery gate at
Greenmount
Avenue and East Oliver Street at 9:30 a.m. (rain or shine).
The
tour
will end at approximately 11:30 a.m.
There is a fee ($)
and
reservations are
requested.

The
Friends of the Whipp’s Cemetery and Memorial Gardens on June 2, 2012
Whipps Garden Cemetery is a one-acre site, located at 3651
St. John’s
Lane, about 2 city blocks south of the Frederick Road intersection.
To
say thanks to Barbara Sieg for her dedication and devotion to Whipps,
an
parterre sectioned Herb Garden was created in her honor.
A special Dedication will be held at the cemetery
on Saturday, June 2, 2012. Everyone is
invited. More information will follow as it becomes
available.
