MEMBERSHIP

Membership in the Coalition is open to all individuals, families, students, and organizations interested in the protection of
burial sites in the state of Maryland. It is not a requirement that members be residents of Maryland. In fact many of our
members are nonresidents who care about Maryland’s cultural resources and have an interest in one or more burial sites
within the state.

Our membership year begins on June 1 and ends on May 31^st. We have four levels of membership: Individual, student,
organization, and household.

Each year the Coalition holds an annual meeting. The annual meetings, held at locations throughout the state, include speakers
and workshops, cemetery visits and tours, officers’ reports, election of officers and board members, and presentation of the
coveted periwinkle awards. Board meetings are held quarterly and members are invited and encouraged to attend.
