Membership in the Coalition to Protect Burial Sites, Inc. is open to all individuals, families, and organizations interested in the protection of cemeteries in the state of Maryland. It is not a requirement that members be residents of Maryland. In fact many of our members are nonresidents who care about Maryland’s cultural resources and have an interest in one or more burial grounds within the state. 

Members are invited to attend the quarterly Board Meetings. The April Board Meeting is our Annual Meeting where the Officers’ annual reports are presented to the membership, the election of Officers and Board members takes place, and the Periwinkle Awards are presented. The Annual Meetings are held at different locations throughout the State. Due to the length of the meeting we arrange lunch for the attendees, we schedule speakers or workshops on different cemetery-related topics, and we visit at least one cemetery at the conclusion of the meeting. Members receive a discount on the cost of attending the Annual Meeting.
