Recent Events

Fall Book Sale

Thanks to all who made contributions ranging from books to CD's, magazines, and games for the book sale! We would also like to thank all who were able to stop by and purchase books and other items that our group made available to the community! Your support of the Friends of the Oxon Hill Library hosted events helps us to provide the Oxon Hill Library with funds that are in addition to their normal budget.

Poetry Month

April was National Poetry Month and the Friends of the Oxon Hill Library sponsored a Poetry Contest on Saturday, April 19, 2014. Author Sylvia "Lady DI" Beverly attended the event along with a host of other participants and the Friends. Special thanks to the Oxon Hill Community

Once again, we would like to thank all within and around the Oxon Hill community and those community partners who provided support and donations toward our Silent Auction that was held on Tuesday, December 10, 2013. The Friends of the Oxon Hill Library were very proud and honored to meet everyone who participated in the event and are sure that our "Home for the Holidays" event, featuring pianist Al Davis was enjoyed by one and all. There were lots of wonderful items donated for the event.

Special thanks to the Oxon Hill library staff for their assistance in making this event a success!

Thanks again to all of our local community partners and donors who provided donated items toward this event. See below for a complete list of the 2013 contributors.
