- FARMER, OWEN posted by Donna Carter on Friday, March 6, 1998
- I am researching THOMAS OWEN b. 1750 in Montgomery county, Maryland 1750. He died in
1814 in Clark Co., Ky. He married SARAH FARMER, b. 1750 in Frederick Co., MD. They
migrated to Kentucky between 1786 and 1791. I have alot of his ancestoral line back to
King of Wales, Hywel Dda. But, would appreciate any "local" history on him and
his family in Maryland.

- Need almost anything on John FARMER b. ca. 1740-50?, prob. in Md.? Wife Elizabeth
"Betsy" PRITCHETT who were supposedly Quakers & lived in area of Montg. Co.
in mid 1700's. Think Elizabeth may have had a brother Elias PRITCHETT who may have later
moved to Fayette Co.,Pa. If John & Elizabeth were Quakers, what M.M. were they members
of & are any of those M.M. records still in existence or in book form? Think my John
is the same John FARMER who was on the 1778 Oath of Fidelity in Montg. along with Wm.
FARMER, Elias PRITCHETT,Wm. PRITCHETT, & Charles C. PRITCHETT. What relation was John
& Wm. FARMER to each other? What relation were the 3 PRITCHETT men to Elizabeth? John
& Elizabeth had 6 known & 3 possible children.. 1. Elias FARMER (my ancestor) b.
1770-80, marr. 1795 Franklin Co.,Ky. to Sarah ROBERTSON 2. Joel FARMER b. ca.
1765, marr. ca. 1791 (Monon. Co.Va.?) to Sarah PRICE. 3. Otho FARMER b. 1768,
marr. 1805 Nelson Co.,Ky. to Elizabeth BUSSELL 4. John FARMER b. 177-, marr. 1799 Hardin
Co.,Ky. to Sarah DEVER 5. James FARMER b. 1776, marr. 1803 Hardin Co.,Ky. to Lucy LINVILL
6. Emmy FARMER b. ? marr. 1795 Franklin Co.,Ky. to Samuel
ROBERTSON 7. Thomas ? no further record 8. Charles ?
no further record 9. Mehetible b. ? marr. 1801/02 Hardin Co.,Ky. to
Frederick TULL Any help or clues would be greatly appreciated in solving this 40 yr. old
puzzle. Thank You
- CROWN, DAY, MILLS, ROWLEY, STIMMEL posted by Beverly Hart Du VAL
on Thursday, March 12, 1998
- Bessie Elizabeth MILLS, b. Derwood (Montgomery Co.), MD, 1 May 1891, d. 18 Nov 1965,
Silver Spring (Montgomery Co.), MD. Married Robert N. STIMMEL, 3 Sep 1913,
Baltimore, MD. Seeking my grandmother's parents. She told me her mother's name was Joanna
DAY. Found Joanna MILLS living in 4th Election Dist., Rockville, 1910 Census,
living next door to John O. and Mary A. CROWN. Their daughter, Helen CROWN (then 11
years) may be the Helen CROWN who signed my grandmother's funeral register as family.
Grandmother had a "niece" named Maude (married to Clarence ROWLEY) and the CROWN
family had a daughter named Maude E. (age 6 in 1910). "Niece" Maude and my
grandmother bore an uncanny resemblance.
