Seeking additional information on Francis King of Prince George's County, Maryland (d. Bef 1755), husband of Martha SPRIGG (b. Abt 1699, d. 1755) of the same county. Of particular interest is his parentage and origins. His daughter, Cave KING (b. Abt 1722), also of PG Co., was married to Thomas WILLIAMS II (b. Jan 25, 1716 in PG) and had two children: Thomas Williams Jr (b. 1739) in PG, of whom I know nothing else, and want to know much more; and Elizabeth Ellen Williams (b. Abt 1743, d. Abt 1825) who married (on Feb 27, 1761) Thomas MULLIKIN (b. May 24, 1729 in PG; d. Aug 5, 1805 in PG). Many thanks.

Looking for descendants of John WHEAT, Sr., my earliest documented patrilineal ancestor. Dan D. Wheat's genealogy cites a lawsuit which refers to John's lease of land in Prince George's Co., MD on 22 Aug 1699. My descent: John, Sr.; Francis, Sr.; Francis, Jr.; Zachariah; Thomas. Thomas Wheat was born 7 Jul 1789 in Prince George's County. His mother was Priscilla REYNOLDS, and was married to Zachariah in St. John's Parish (now the Broad Creek Church) on the Potomac River. Thomas was a veteran of the War of 1812 in New York and settled in Indiana about 1839.

I am interested in corresponding with anyone researching the John and Bathsheba Griffith FERGUSON family of Prince George's County and the William and Catherine Ferguson LANHAM family of Prince George's County. John and Bathsheba were in Prince George's County circa 1750 until circa 1780 at which time they removed to Monongalia County, (West) Virginia. A number of their married children also made the move, including William and Catherine Ferguson Lanham.

Seeking more information about: Thomas SPRIGG PRATHER, JR. (b. Abt 1704 in Frederick Co., MD; d. 24 July 1785 in area near present Washington, D.C.); his wife Elizabeth CLAGGETT (b. 1725; d. 1765), and their daughter, Joanne PRATHER (d. 1799), who moved to New Geneva, Fayette Co, PA and married Theophilus PHILLIPS (d. Abt 1789). A daughter of Joanne and Theophilus, Elizabeth PHILLIPS, married Adolph EBERHART, SR. (b. 25 July 1783, d. 22 October 1863) in New Geneva. Adolph is believed to have been the son of Martin L. EBERHART of Wurtemburg or Elsass, and a Miss FULSE, of Baltimore, MD. Adolph may have been born in Fredericktown, MD Martin EBERHART was in the glass manufacturing business, and may have traded and died in Fredericktown, MD. Any information concerning the Fredericktown connection of Martin L. EBERHART and his wife would be greatly appreciated.

I am researching ancestry of my 3rd Great Grandparents, John T. and Eleanora STAMP (born abt 1802 and 1808 respectively in Maryland). Per 1850 US Census, they were living in Prince Georges County, Nottingham, Md. M. (Mordecai) R. STAMP and Mary Ann MCKEEE Stamp, my 2nd Great Grandparents were living with them as well as James Everette STAMP (born abt 1860 in in Maryland), my Great Grandfather, who married Benetta DUCKETT.
