I am seeking information about Benedict Swingate CALVERT's son William. Benedict lived at Mt. Airy in Prince George Co. in the mid 1700's. The William I seek was born 1757. I have seen an undocumented statement that Benedict's William was born in 1768 and if true he would not be my William. Benedict was an illegitimate but recognized son of Charles CALVERT the 5th Lord Baltimore.
My William enlisted in 1776 and maried Elizabeth NODDING in 1780. Both of these events occurred in Montgomery/Frederick Co. Any information or suggestions greatly appreciated.

The patriarch, so far as known, Joseph BOOKOUT, of all US families of BOOKOUTs was signatory to the the MD petition below. Information is sought in the name of his wife, the birth of his children, his parents and place of birth or immigration. Was it necessary for a man in colonial MD to own land to sign a petition such as the one linked to below

A "Joseph J. [his mark] Bookout" signed a petition above the Monocacy area of Prince George's County (which is now Frederick County), Maryland (see undated manuscript, believed to be about 1735, Maryland State Archives, 350 Rowe Boulevard, Annapolis, Maryland 21401, MSA No. S987, Maryland State Papers (Black Books) 9, p. 22 "Petition," James Wood, n.d. [MdHR 4633, 1-6-3-29]). An official transcription of this document is available from the Maryland State Archives as follows: petition.txt
