Researcher: Joan Marie Meyering

Date posted: Saturday, June 6, 1998

The first instances of my William HARBIN that I have been able to find in America are as a witness for the will of Eliza BRADFORD in Prince George County in 1710, and the birth of a child (John) at St. Barnabas Church, Queen Anne's Parish, Prince George County in 1711, and then a deed in 1717 which says he was of Prince George County.

Question: What would you do to trace him back to where he was before then? What port would he have been likely to have come to? I am wondering about Calvert, St. Mary's and Anne Arundel counties, but which would be most likely? What parish was St. Barnabas created from? Thank you for any suggestions or insights.
