Levi S. BASIM (1838-1910) and Ellen E. MARTIN (1838-1919)'s family was in the Bowie District on the 1900 and 1910 censuses. The last referenced census places them on the Bowie-White Marsh Rd. Seeking the month and day of death as well as place of burial. Will exchange information.

I am looking for information on the family of Henry DICKERSON and Susanna SURRATT. Henry was born in what is now Prince George's County c. 1685, the son of Thomas DICKERSON and Elizabeth . Susanna was probably also born about 1685, and was the daughter of Joseph SURRATT and ???. Henry and Susanna married in 1720 in Saint John's Parish, Prince George's County. They had three known children: John, born February 11, 1721, in Frederick County; Thomas, born c. 1723; and Surratt, born c. 1725. Susanna SURRATT DICKERSON died c. 1734. Henry DICKERSON is said to have lived until c. 1785. John DICKERSON married Ruth , and they had twelve children: Joshua, Margaret, John, Sarah, Richard, Rachel, Susanna, Henry, Gideon, Asa, Drusilla and Baruch. The name of Thomas DICKERSON's wife is unknown, but they had at least six children: Thomas, Ruth, Henry, Kinsey, Noah and Vachel. Nothing else is known regarding Surratt Dickerson except that he apparently lived in Montgomery County.

I am looking for information on the MCNEW families of Baltimore ca 1850, most if not all of whom moved from Prince Georges County sometime after 1840. My direct line is William and Sarah (SELLERS) MCNEW who emigrated to Franklin Co, PA by 1850. Remaining MCNEW households in Baltimore (18th Ward per the 1850 census) include Basil, Caroline, and 2-Thomases. If anyone has any information on relationship of William to these other MCNEW'S I would certainly appreciate it.

I am trying to uncover ancestral information on Robert RATLIFF b. abt 1690 probably in Sussex, England d. abt 1738/1739 in Prince George's County, MD. He was married to Mary TOUCHSTONE who was born in Cecil County, MD. Their son was Silas RATLIFF b. abt 1730. This line subsequently migrated to VA.

Hello Am seeking info. on Richard Franklin CARTER born Oct. 16, 1790 in PG County MD died Mar. 20, 1853 in KY Marr. Catherine KIDWELL in 1814. He and Catherine had one daughter, Rosena who later marr. John TIPPETT.

His 2nd. marr. was to Elizabeth M. BEAVIN daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth BEAVIN.

Also seeking info. on who Richard F. CARTEr's parents were. I think they were Joseph and Mary (BEAVIN) CARTER, but no proof. Appreciate any help.

Does anyone have a copy, or access to a copy, of the Marriage License Book for 1777-1801 for PGCo?

If so, would you please be willing to look up page 147 to see if my ggg grandparents' marriage is indeed listed there as I've been told by an elderly relative of mine. My ggg grandparents were William REYNOLDS & Nancy Ann GRIFFITH. She may be listed as Ann GRIFFITH instead of Nancy Ann. I'd like to know if she is listed as Nancy or Ann.

Also, I'm hoping that the listing will show the names of the Bride & Groom's parents. As I'm really trying hard to find out the names of Nancy Ann GRIFFITH's parents so that I can trace her ancestry.

This is the info my elderly relative gave me for that marriage: Prince George County, Maryland (P.147 in marriage license book 1777-1801)

Thank you in advance for any help anyone can offer. I live all the way out on the West Coast & so cannot check out the Maryland Archives myself.

Help needed with very tough nut to crack : HIPKINS family, of Howard County, Montgomery County, and other counties in Maryland. My ggf Charles David HIPKINS was born in 1818, died in 1902. He married Mary Anne CLARKE of Prince George County (I think) who was born June 11, 1927. She died 1910. Their children were Emma Adele HIPKINS (my grandmother, who married Samuel A. LEHMAN), Tom Burkette HIPKINS, Will Rufus HIPKINS, Crittendon Hipkins, (who married Carrie Ruble of Boyds,) Mary A. (who married Henry WOOD). And Annie, who never married. I have not been able to find the ancestors of Charles David HIPKINS. His mother is supposed to be Mary RIDGELY, but this has not been proved. Mary Anne CLARKE's parents are supposed to be Daniel CLARKE (the brother of John Rogers CLARKE?) and Mary Anne DUVAL. This is not proven either. Anyone who knows of this family and can help please contact me. .

I am still looking for info. on the above listed surnames - however more specific people this time.
Charles BEAVEN(in) 1622- Abt 1699 married Martha Paca PAULEY of MD. Their son, or the only one I know about was Richard BEAVEN 1674- Abt. 1739. I am seeking more info. on Charles BEAVEN & Martha PACA. Someone told me that PACA was a prominent name in either St. Mary's or Prince Geo. County, MD.
William CARTER married Mary SPALDING. They had one son, (again, that I know of) Joseph. Joseph married Mary BEAVIN. These folks lived in the early to mid 1700's. I believe in MD and then KY perhaps Nelson county. I have absolutely no info. on William or Mary.
And, last but not least, the elusive WHEATLEY family. I see a lot of posting for this family but no one seems to know much more than I do.
Joseph WHEATLEY 1801-? married Mary Ann ASKINS. They had a daughter Susan Frances 1846-1926 who married James W. MATTINGLY. James is descended from Thomas MATTINGLY I of MD.
Well that is about it. If anyone hears bells ringing please let me know. I will be most happy to share what I do have. Thanks again.
