Looking for the parents and family of Zadock and Sarah LOWE of Prince Georges County, MD. Zadock (1748-1839) and Sarah baptized their two sons Nehemiah (11/02/1769) and Samuel (10/21/1772) in the Broad Creek Church Parish. Zadock also was present in the 1778 to take the MD Oath of Allegiance.

Possible home site 2 miles NE of Marlboro, MD. Possible parents were William Jr. and Eleanor (?) LOWE born 1724. Zadock has siblings Nehemiah LOWE (1756-1845), Levi (1760-1833), Nancy (1767-1850). Believe other siblings might be Nickelous and Sarah LOWE, Elias and Sarah (Henry) Lowe LOWE, Keziah (LOWE) and Basil TALBOTT, Fielding and Mary (SWOPE) LOWE, William LOWE and ? (HENRY) LOWE, Zachiariah and Ann (BOSWELL) LOWE, and Nathan and Mary (?) LOWE.

Zadock and Sarah were not in the 1776 Prince Georges County, MD census. But Wiliam and Eleanor LOWE were present with son Elias. After 1778, Zadock left PG, MD and was present at the first 1782 Tax Roll in Greenbrier County, Virginia now Monroe County, West Virginia. Probable home site above Union on high hills known as the Swopes or Calders Knobs.

In Monroe Co.siblings Levi married Sarah KINKAID, Nancy married John CANTERBURY Sr., and Fielding married Mary SWOPE. Zadock and Sarah had other children: Nehehiah and Christina (ELKINS)LOWE, Samuel LOWE, Thomas and Rachael (WICKLINE) LOWE, Zachariah and Mary LOWE, Nathan and Elizabeth (ELKINS) LOWE, William LOWE Sr., Sally and John LOWE Sr., John W. LOWE and Lucinda (ELKINS) LOWE, Joshua and Catherine? (HILL) LOWE, and Thomas and Amelia/Azelia (LOWE) THORN. THORN family were also from PG County, MD.

Zadock and Sarah amassed over 600 acres of land from 1782-1839 in Monroe County, West Virgina and died abt August, 1839 near the town of Red Sulphur close to Indian Creek. Lowe grandchildren settled near Blue Springs, Missouri and Alton, Illinois, and Mound City, Missouri. My line is Thomas Lowe => Joshua Lowe => Erastus Preston Lowe => Eldridge Pence Lowe => Laura Kathryn Lowe (Bailey)=> William Henry Bailey => and sons Allen Carroll and Christopher Everett Bailey => granddaughter Anna Marie Bailey

Looking for information about John B. HINTON born about 1790 I believe in PGC MD. He married Nancy Ann CAMBRON, daughter of Henry CAMBRON and Margaret HARBIN on November 21, 1812 in Washington Co., KY. John is shown as being age 60 born in MD in the 1850 KY census. I believe he was born in Prince George County because a B. HINTON shows on the 1800 census, which I have seen referenced as his father without documentation, and because most of the HINTONS in PGC appear in the 1810 census but not 1820 which implies they moved. John appears in KY in 1812 missing August muster in the militia and then getting married. Any advice on sorting out the HINTONs in MD would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for any information on John BENNET(T) and his wife, Ann, who were living in/around Queen Ann's Parish of Prince George's County right around 1700. They had two children (known so far), John & Thomas. John was born October 10, 1703, and Thomas, December 25, 1705. Their birth's were recorded in the records of the Saint Barnabas Church at that time. Anybody with further information on either John's or Thomas' whereabouts, any further siblings, or such would be greatly appreciated. Both Johns (father and son) are believed to be the descendants of the BENNETT family that eventually ended up in Bedford County, PA and I am trying to prove or disprove this.
