I am looking to trace my ancestors. John STERLING, born 1638 in England, came to Somerset about 1667 and married Hannah, then married Mary MARTIN MOORE. His son Henry STERLING married Mary's daughter Grace MOORE. They lived at Ape's Hole. Some time down the road, in the 1800s, my grandfather George W. STERLING was born in Gloucester, VA, but lived most of his childhood in Crisfield, MD with his grandparents Isaac (Crow) and Hester STERLING until he moved back to Gloucester to build a business, marry and rear his own family. My father Thomas J. STERLING, born 1897, was next to the youngest of his 17 children. My goal is to trace the family of both grandmother and grandfather to the Revolution. Henry was too old to join and his son Henry seems to have been too young. The DEAL name comes in with my grandmother Alice DEAL wife of George W. STERLING. Her parents were John DEAL and Alice BROWN of Virginia. I have a copy of George and Alice's marriage certificate. George's parents were Noah STERLING and Elizabeth RESPESS (spelling?). This is where I am stopped. Thanks in advance for any help or leads anyone can give.
Looking for any information about Nehemiah BOZMAN who married Majurah SHORES in 1812 in Somerset Co, MD. Neither appear in any Somerset Co. record I have searched subsequent to the date of marriage. I assumed they moved to another state after 1812, and before 1820, but have failed to locate them through a search of census indexes. Majurah was living in 1821 when she was listed in the will of her father, Levin SHORES.
My maternal grandfather was Gardner Randolph PARKS, b. 4 Sept. 1902, Broome's Island, Md., d. 26 Sept. 1986, Baltimore, Md., m. 26 Sept. 1919, Baltimore, Md., Vida Louretta Garner. Gardner's father was George Washington PARKS, b. 5 Mar. 1872, Crisfield, Somerset County, Md. His parents were John William PARKS and Williamanna Mary MUIR, who married 22 Dec. 1869, Somerset County, Md. I found John and Williamanna on county census records, living in the Dames Quarter area, however; I am unable to trace any further. Would appreciate any assistance.
I am looking for anyone researching the following counties who has a "missing" George PARSONS prior to 1770 in Maryland: Kent, Queen Anne's, Caroline, Talbot, Dorchester, Wicomico, Somerset, Worchester and the complete state of Delaware. This George would probably have been born about 1740-1750. I am trying to locate the birthplace and parents of our George PARSONS who is first found in Guilford County, NC in 1770. Additional possible information about this George: his father may have been John (not sure), he married a Ruth (possibly Green/Greene), his estate in NC was called Parsons Chance, family given names include: James, William, Joseph, George, Evan, Catherine, Mary, Thomas and Robert. If you have a George Parsons who seems to have just disappeared prior to 1770 please contact me. If we can make a connection I can furnish you with a wealth of information to present day on all of his descendants.
My father was Preston Thomas BOUNDS, son of Warren BOUNDS. Warren had a brother named Pern BOUNDS. There are a lot of "home cemetaries" on the old farms. Have they all been identified? This is wonderful to have this new site - Thanks!!!

I am currently working on genealogies of the DISHAROON and DORMAN families of Maryland's lower Eastern Shore. Would like any and all info on these families, especially Bible records and info on lines that left Maryland (DISHAROONs who moved to NC and GA, for instance). Will be glad to share info that I currently have. I am descended from Benjamin DISHAROON and his wife Amelia W. DORMAN, daughter of Levin and Leah DORMAN. We have not been able to prove Benjamin's parents.

Then, on February 5, 1666, he acquired 150 acres on the east side of Chesapeake Bay at the head of the Manokin River. Sold this property to Wm. Polke July 12, 1667. He was living in Somerset Co., Maryland Nov. 1689 and died there in 1689. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

I need a connection in Crisfield or wherever in Md. they originated. Martha WADDLE married John DUNSTON ca 1810. Henry, Isaac, Noah, James, C. R. "Ross" Sterling appear to originate in Crisfield.
