The Somerset County MDGenWeb and Handley's Eastern Shore MD Genealogy Project

Our aim is to list all the cemeteries in Somerset County, and on another site, those in Wicomico County - NOTE: THERE ARE A LOT OF CEMETERIES DONE IN WICOMICO. Obviously, this is going to be a massive undertaking (no pun intended!), and is going to take quite a while to accomplish. This project would not be possible without the help of volunteers to walk the cemeteries and record the data on the stones. Can you help? The district designations in the location description of each cemetery is as found in the 1877 Atlas of the Eastern Shore maps. A complete set of the individual, highly-detailed election district map images can be found on Mike Hitch's great web site.
