Mr. Clay's Land Bill.
The Land Bill, so called, recently passed the Senate of the United States, gives the following Amount to which each State will be entitled, The Bill Proposes the division of twenty million five Hundred seventy-one thousand one hundred twenty-five dollars and seventy-five cents, on hand at the time from which the Bill is to take effect. It will give to Maine, immediately, nearly seven hundred thousand dollars, and an annual average of about three and fifty thousand dollars.
