BOARDWAY(BOADWAY)
I am tracing all BOARDWAYs and BOADWAYs (c1850's
forward) in Northeastern USA, especially in Maine. Would like to hear
from anyone with even the slightest knowledge of families with these
surnames in Aroostook County (or elsewhere in Maine and New England).
Specifically looking for parents/family of Leon Wellington BOARDWAY,
b.1889, Maine (or Mass.?). His mother may have been French and died
young; he may have had a sister; he learned watchmaking as a youth; and
he joined the military at an early age. These names were probably of
French origin (Beaudoin, e.g.). Please contact me if you have any
knowledge at all of families with these names. Thank you.
