‘Pension Claim S.37270, a man of color, enlisted at Harpswell in Jan. 1777, served as Private, etc., -- discharged in Jan. 1780.
Allowed pension on application executed Apr. 25, 1818, at which time he was aged 73 yrs. and resided in Brunswick, Maine.
In 1820, he stated that his family resided [sic] with him consisted of his wife Hagar, aged 66 yrs., and John a small boy aged 8 yrs.
The soldier died May 4, 1829.
