George Lewis

George Lewis served as private from July 12 to Dec 31, 1775, in Capt Timothy Langdon's co., which was stationed at Boothbay for defense of the seacoast; aslo, in Capt Archibald McAllister's co., Col. Samuel McCobb's regt.; enlisted July 11, 1779; service 2 mos., 13 days on the Bagaduce Expedition.  He was in Canaan in 1788, and his family of 9 is on the Canaan Census of 1790.  He was granted by the Proprietors the lot on Parkman Hill, which was afterwards the Danile Parkman farm; also the lot next but one west of this, the Kennebec end of which is now the ground of Coburn Park.
