HOWARD Howard, Cora (Marr) b. 1850, d. 1922 , married G. W. Howard 28 Mar 1889. Believe she was the daughter of John Sutton Marr (b. 1824, d. 1887) and Sophia (Morrison) Marr b. 1830, d. 1897? Sophia may have been married to a Whitten before Marr? Looking for Sophia's parents...Manley Morrison of Clinton and wife?? Have discovered land evidence records placing them in Canaan in 1880's. Looking for any information on these names and also for info on a property situated on a "road leading from Canaan to Burnham at the point where the road leading to the farm formerly occupied by Amost Whitten joins said road". I believe I have a picture of the original house on this property but am not sure. Peggy BLAKE BLAKE, Dudley and wife Nancy Robbins (she of Greene, ME) were in Canaan in the early 1800's. Dudley died in 1833 and is buried in the Tuttle Cemetery. They had at least 2 children while in Dudley - Martin, b 1812 and Ganselo, b. Jan. 29, 1815. I believe he was related to James & Hannah (Nason) Smith who resided in Canaan and Clinton, ME. Bryce McLellan is listed as residing in Canaan in the late 1790's and early 1800's. He is listed as a Moderator and a Representative in Canaan during that period. He is also mentioned in several wills for people dying in Canaan during that period.
